章 2: [1] Bell Cranel
--- Chapter 1 ---
A long, long time ago, we gods came down to the world of you, our children, seeking excitement.
After years of staying together, we decided that we would live here with you forever in the Lower World.
Due to this, we had to seal our divine power, and enjoy life with all the hardships and inconvenience it entails.
With our powers sealed, we could only offer you one thing:
The power to fight monsters, that we call our blessings.
The children that are given this power become our servants, our "Familia."
In other words, you are my servant.
And the only member of the Hestia Familia.
"*Sigh*."
A handsome young teenager with silver white hair could be seen running around as his ruby red eyes scanned around the dungeon floor.
"Why did I remember what Hestia-sama told me now?"
The red eyed boy whispered to himself quietly as he swiftly ran around.
"I wonder if I can encounter a cute girl and rescue her..."
The boy suddenly spoke again and chuckled slightly when he imagined himself saving a beautiful elven girl.
Right when he was about to delve deeper into his idiotic thoughts, he tripped.
*Crash*
The boy scraped his knees and his body slid across the rocky ground. He kept on moving but stopped when his back bumped onto something hard.
"Ouch!"
The red eyed boy's eyes slowly started watering as he felt his knees burn, but that quickly changed when he felt something wet on his neck.
*Splash*
'Huh?'
The silver haired boy hesitantly moved his head to see what it was, only to be met with something horrifying.
A huge tall monster with a scar filled human body paired and bull's head towered above him, saliva drilling from its large mouth.
*Grr*
This monster is what you would call a minotaur, and something you would normally see on the 15th floor.
"A...ah?"
The silver haired boy started stuttering in shock as he fearfully stared into the eyes of the hideous monster.
*Growl*
On the other hand, the minotaur had already made its first move.
It roared loudly and grabbed tightly on the red eyed boy who's body was still frozen in fear.
What happened next was quite obvious.
The minotaur used one of its finger to pierce open the boy's armour, but accidentally pierced open the flesh as well.
"Aaargh!"
The boy screamed out in agony and twisted his body instinctively, only to be stopped when the grip around his body tightened.
*Splash*
Blood started spilling out from the boy's chest, causing his already agonising screams, louder.
'I'm gonna...die?'
The minotaur started getting annoyed of the noises and decided to eat get this over with.
*Grr*
The tall and hideous monster opened it's mouth widely while getting closer to the boy's body, only to stop a few seconds later when it felt a painful sensation on its neck.
*Grr*
The minotaur looked down in confusion and annoyance, only to see it's own body, headless, from the distance.
And that was also that thing it saw before dying.
*Crash*
Meanwhile, the silver haired boy was dropped onto the ground, when the grip around his body loosened.
*Cough*
He then violently coughed out a mouthful of blood due to the impact, also making his eyesight dim slightly.
The boy quickly shook off his pain and tried to see what had happened, only to freeze when he felt his senses starting to disappear.
The first to go was his hearing, then it was his smell, his touch and...his sight.
Right after he lost all 5 senses of his body, his consciousness started fading, making the boy emit a painful chuckle as he saw his life flash by inside of his mind.
The vision began when he was a child, his grandpa retelling stories of famous heroes. He then somehow started feeling how it was...to be home.
The sight then qucikly changed to when he first entered Orario and tried to enter a familia, just to get rejected by nearly all of them. He remembered the dissapointment and hopelessness when he found out that he couldn't join any.
The vision then quickly changed one final time, ending with the smile of Hestia, the goddess of the familia he was accepted in. A feeling on happiness suddenly sprouted inside of his heart as he remembered the lady thing she said.
"Be careful, Bell-kun!"
The happiness that was inside of his heart suddenly changed into despair when he remembered that Hestia would be all alone.
Although, it was too late for regrets.
'I wish I was more careful...I...wonder what Hestia-sama will feel like...?'
A regretful smile slowly formed on Bell's bloodied lips as he felt his heart, slowly stop beating.
--- (Finn PoV) ---
I saw Ais move swiftly towards the direction from where the screams first appeared.
"Ais, wait for me!"
I ran towards her while shouting loudly, leaving the other members behind me alone.
"Aargh!"
The screams of agony sudeenmy started getting louder and louder as I ran behind Ais, slowly catching up to her.
*Swing*
Ais' speed suddenly exploded as she took out her long sword that was coated in a viridian colour.
"Lil Rafaga!"
The green around her sword suddenly started getting denser as she launched towards the monster that was holding a...silver haired boy?
'A minotaur?!'
I looked at the monster that was suddenly decapitated by Ais' [Lil Rafaga] in shock before running towards the boy that had dropped onto the ground.
'Fuck. How did a minotaur get down lower?! I thought we had already killed all of them...'
My eyes slightly widened when I saw Ais kneeling beside the boy who had a humongous scar on his chest.
His eyes already had no light in them while his body appeared to be frozen.
I hurriedly knelt beside the silver haired teenager and checked his breathing before thinking quickly.
'He's dead. I need to ask Riveria to somehow erase this part of her memory...it could traumatise her for life...'
After quickly deciding what to do, I carried out the actions.
*Chop*
I chopped Ais on the neck, making her faint and then carried her while running away.
But not before taking one last look at the teenager that laid on the ground.
'I'm sorry...'
That was all I could say to the boy, regretting that we were a bit too slow.
