Drip! Drip!
"You..."
"You must..."
"Save..."
"Haah! Haaah.., Haah.." Glass woke up suddenly as he recalled the words that he had just heard during his sleep.
"Glass - Kun!!" a familiar voice called out to him. Turning around, he saw his Goddess sitting in front of him with a worried but happy look.
"Hestia - Sama" he replied as he looked at her.
"You just woke up, don't move too much" Hestia told him.
He nodded as he looked around. Just ask he was about to speak, he noticed Bell lying down on a bed next to his own one. Bell with his eyes still closed while his wounds were bandaged.
Looking around, he noticed that he was in an unfamiliar room. "How's Bell?" he asked when he turned around to face Hestia.
"Bell - Kun is fine, he should wake up soon. But more importantly, I can't believe you two tried to fight a Monster Rex on your own! It's only been two days since you guys had entered the Dungeon!" Hestia complained.
Not knowing what else he could say, Glass apologized as the door to the room opened. Turning around to face the door, he noticed a familiar face.
"Eine - San" he said.
"Welcome back, Glass - Kun. I'm glad both you and Bell - Kun are okay. You two should've reported to the Guild right away instead of fighting the Monster Rex! You're lucky, someone heard the news and rushed into the Dungeon to save you" Eine told him.
"It's a good thing another party who had just entered the Dungeon immediately came and reported to us. It truly is weird for the beginning floors to have a Monster Rex"
"Sorry" he apologized to her.
"By the way, who saved us? I should thank them" Glass asked. "I did" a familiar voice said from behind Eine who had come in and sat near Hestia.
Facing the door, Glass saw a beautiful young girl his age with pink hair. The familiar figure made Glass widen his eyes. "Shea" he said.
"Thanks" he told her as she nodded. "It's okay, to think the guy who didn't know a single thing just a few days ago would challenge a Monster Rex with a two-man party. Even if it were a weak one, a Monster Rex is still a Monster Rex" Shea replied.
"Oh right, did anyone bring back the Magic Stone from it?" Glass asked her.
Shea nodded as she came into the room and explained, "When I arrived, the Monster Rex's body had begun to turn into black smog. It's Magic Stone was left behind as well as two weapons while its club had remained behind. The rescue party behind me helped me bring you two back and now hear you are"
"I see, did you bring the drops with you?" he asked after listening to her. "Indeed" Shea replied as she stood at the nearby table and took out the drops.
Plop! Plop!
In front of him, a brown knife made up of an unknown material with a large edge but thin body like an animal tooth with a few engravings on them was placed on the table. Next to it, a polearm made of the same material that was about 3 meters in length was placed down.
As for the club that was left behind, naturally, Shea wouldn't bring such a huge weapon inside a small room.
Standing up, Glass stood next to Shea and looked at the two weapons. "This knife sure has a strange shape, well it will go to Bell. As for this polearm... I guess I'll keep it for now and sell it off later, we don't need much Valis right now since the Monster Rex should've given quite a lot" he thought.
Picking up the polearm, he noticed that it was extremely light weighing just a few pounds being even lighter than his Iron Sword that he had bought from the weapon shop. Standing back, he tried swinging it around and spun it in his hands as if he had been using one for many years.
"Interesting, it's light and seems to have an Earth element enchantment on it" Glass thought. He noticed that the polearm had some small gaps on the handle that looks as though it could be moved.
Holding the handle, he twisted it clockwise as the polearm began to grow in size almost breaking some things around him. "Yikes, that was close" he thought as he rotated it the other way making it shrink to about the size of a flute.
"So it can lengthen and shorten huh, that's neat" Shea said as she looked at the polearm.
Glass nodded as he tried to take the polearm apart.
Click! Click!
The polearm separated itself into two as he noticed even more parts that he could twist. Holding one underneath his armpit, he twisted one half of the polearm as it began to sharpen and turn into a spearhead!
He then tried it with the other side as three sharped prongs suddenly slipped out from its head. "So not only is it a polearm, but it's also a spear and a trident" Glass thought.
"Amazing, the drop can turn into two weapons with just a few twists" Eine said.
"I wonder if maybe the knife has a trick to it?" she added.
"Eine - San, it's better to let me try, it might be dangerous if you do it yourself" Glass said as he put the polearm down and picked up the brown knife that will belong to Bell.
Holding the knife by its handle, Glass looked at it and thought, "It doesn't seem to be anything else besides just a knife" just as he thought that there was nothing special about the knife, he noticed a number on the surface of the handle.
Holding the knife with both hands by the handle, he tried twisting the handle as the number on the handle began to change from 1 to 2.
Shing!
The knife head that looked like a jagged tooth previously had changed into the shape of a butcher knife!
"So that's what it does, this knife can change into many different types of knives! I wonder how many forms there are" he thought as he put the knife down.
"Hehe, Glass - Kun, it looks like the two of you hit the jackpot! You got great weapons from the Monster Rex!" Eine told him as Shea and Hestia beside her nodded.
"Oh right, I forgot to tell you. After you defeated the Monster Rex, we investigated and found that it would no longer spawn on the Fourth Floor, for some reason, it can only spawn once before returning into a regular floor" Eine said.
"I see, I wonder if it were a natural occursion. Or..." he replied.
"Or that it was a man-made one" Shea finished for him as he nodded.
"Indeed, that's what we, the Guild are trying to find out. We hope that it is the former rather than the latter. We will continue to investigate this, for now Glass - Kun, you two should rest for a few days before heading to the Dungeon again" Eine told him.
"Now that you have woken up, it's time for me to leave" Shea suddenly said. Glass turned around and replied, "See you" as she left.
"It's time for me to head back to the Guild, see you later, Glass - Kun, Hestia - Sama, tell Bell - Kun that I wish him well" Eine said as she too left leaving just the three of them behind.
