章 9: Report
"I should report this to the Guild, it seems strange for this to happen. Could it be a Monster Rex appeared on the lower floors? That can't be though, it would be too strong for those at level 1 to beat even in a group of ten or more" Glass thought.
"What's wrong, Glass - San?" Bell asked as he saw Glass' puzzled expression. "I'm just thinking about some things, we should head to the Guild and report the situation to Eine - San, the other Adventurers have already returned" Glass replied as Bell nodded in agreement.
Returning up to the First Floor, they didn't meet any monsters on the way back. Glass who had memorized the way they had come from lead them back up and out of the Dungeon.
Once they were out, it was already noon. Taking out the bread they had bought with them, the two ate on the way to the Guild. When they arrived, they waited in line as Eine noticed them come in.
When it was their turn, Eine left her station and sat down with the two of them. "Welcome back you two, how was it?" Eine asked them.
Bell spoke first, "It was great, we managed to get a few Magic Stones and even went to the Second Floor!"
Hearing this, Eine's expression changed into shock. Just before she was about to speak, Glass suddenly spoke, "Eine - San, when we went down to the Second Floor, even after walking for thirty minutes or so we didn't find a single monster. We saw another party sitting by the entrance of the floor and by the time we came back they were already gone"
Eine listened to him speak as she thought of a few things before replying, "I see, thanks for your report, I will report this to the higher-ups. I don't think you two should head into the Dungeon until the situation is resolved. But I must say, for both of you to go to the Second Floor on your first day is amazing!"
Glass nodded as Bell blushed, "Well, I'll help you trade in your Magic Stones now come with me" Eine said as the three of them stood up and went back to her work station.
Plop! Plop!
Putting down the Magic Stones and the Goblin Nail they had acquired, Eine did some calculations as she handed them some Valis, "A total of five Magic Stones and a Goblin Nail comes to a total of 6100 Valis"
Taking the Valis, Glass took out 2000 Valis and handed it to Eine. "Here's some of the Valis you lent us" he said.
"2000 at once? Just 1000 is enough this time, I'm fine waiting for you two to get stronger" Eine replied as she only took half of it and returned the rest to them.
"Thank you, Eine - San" both Bell and Glass said in unison.
"No problems, I hope to see you again" she replied as the two of them left the Guild. When they left the Guild building, they realized they had nothing to do. "What do you want to do?" Glass asked Bell.
"Hmm, there's not much to do, maybe we can go stock up on potions?" Bell suggested. "Good idea, let's go then" Glass replied as they both headed for a medicine shop.
Walking around Orario, the two of them walked by many people and Adventurers. On the way, they saw a tall beast-man with grey fur who resembled a wolf wearing armor like paddings on his legs. The beast-man was being aggressive with another person as they butted heads while two dark-skinned females who looked identical tried to stop him.
Ignoring them, the two continued walking. After a while, they heard a familiar voice from afar, "Miach, let's go buy some bread" the voice said.
"Haha, Hestia, you're always the same always eating bread" the male God named Miach replied. Hearing their Goddess' voice, Bell and Glass followed the voice until they saw the two Gods talking.
"Kami - Sama" Bell said.
"Ah? Bell - Kun!? Glass - Kun? You're back" Hestia replied from a few meters away. "So these two are your children, they do seem as you had described" Miach said as he held a brown paper bag in his hands.
The two parties got closer as the blue-haired, tall and handsome God reached for his bag and took out four potions from the bag. "Here's a gift for you two" Miach said as he handed Bell and Glass two potions each.
"Ah? Miach, you shouldn't be handing out potions for free. Naeza is gonna get mad again!" Hestia told him.
"Haha, it's okay. It's my first meeting with your first children, I should give them something" Miach replied as he insisted on giving the two the potions. Since they couldn't reject his present, the two of them took the potions and carefully placed them in their bags.
