[Who are you and why the fuck are you telling me what to do?] Ori texts back, the others noticing his change in demeanour.
"Something up?" Rebecca asks.
"Yeah, someone's asking me not to dome this guy..."
[I'm Regina Jones, a Fixer here in Watson. I'll say again, don't kill him.] - Regina
[Why not? He's already dying, plus there's no cure for Cyberpsychosis from what I've heard. I'd be putting him out of his misery.] - Ori
[There's not a cure, yet. I'm working with various people, who shall not be named, who are researching Cyberpsychosis. That man, Joel Juarez, is someone we've been keeping in contact with.] - Regina
[And? You expect me to waste my time with this? I'm not that friendly. How'd you even find my contacts?] - Ori
[A mutual friend of ours. And I'm not asking you to do this for free either. 9k Eds to bring him to me alive.] - Regina

[Make it ten.] - Ori
[Deal. Drop him off at Instant Implants... Trust me, you're giving Joel there a second chance, one he deserves.] - Regina
"Er, Ori, hate to interrupt but we've got Maelstrom incoming..." Sasha states, her eyes glowing as she takes control of nearby cameras.
Ori just sighs, "Sasha, Rebecca, take the guy in the back and keep him alive, someone's paying us to deliver his ass to a Ripperdoc in Kabuki." he states, climbing into the driver's seat as the others shuffle in.
Rebecca and Sasha had to put the Psycho over their knees, staining their trousers in synthetic blood as they attempted to patch the numerous wounds covering him.
Six borrows his LMG in the passenger side as Ori starts the car, just as two Maelstrom vehicles tear around the corner. He kicks it in reverse and starts driving backwards down the street, doing a sweeping turn and barely preventing the can from rolling over as he drifts around the corner.
Unfortunately, his car wasn't anywhere near as fast as the Maelstrom gangers', and they quickly gained on him. Bullets punched through the back window, forcing Rebecca and Sasha to duck while Six responds with some of his own.
"I KNOW YOU! YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY THIS TIME ALBINO CHILD! NOT YOU EITHER BLACK BOT!" one of the Maelstrom thugs shout as they drive beside them.
*BANG!*
Rebecca blows the guy's head clean off with Guts, "I'LL KILL WHOEVER MADE THOSE NAMES!" she shouts as the car skids and slams into a nearby lampost after the death of its driver.
"FUCKERS!" another danger shouts as the second car pulls up. Six fires at the driver but they duck out of the way, allowing the guys in the pack to start firing. They try and shoot Rebecca and Sasha, only for the bullets to hit the unconscious Cyberpsycho instead, some deflecting off of what was left of his subdermal armour and going through Ori's roof.
Sasha just leans out of the window as the Maelstrom car gets close and cuts their guns in half with her Cybernetic claws. Six then lights up the confused gangers, killing most of them as they drive out of view.
"I've got a jammer up! Get us outta sight before more get here!" She reports, using one of her claws to dig out a bullet from the psycho's arm.
"Got it."
Ori turns and drives through an abandoned construction sight, past a roundabout then onto the main road headed to Little China. Thankfully, that was all, no one else from Maelstrom managed to track them, allowing Ori to turn into Kabuki Market and towards Regina's Ripperdoc.
"Alright, we're here, dump the guy off. I still wanna go back for that crate..." he states, prompting the group to crook a brow at him.
"What? He's not gonna be using whatever it is, and I'd rather one of us have it than some gangster."
Rebecca grins, "I'll tag along, Six and the cat can deliver the guy."
"Isn't that dangerous? Maelstrom will still be looking for you... And your car." Sasha says, gesturing at it.
Indeed, Ori hadn't realised just how much damage it'd taken. One of the tires had been shredded, and the rubber was barely hanging on to the rim. Most other vehicles had alloy mesh instead of regular old rubber, but his piece of crap didn't have any of that.
One of the doors was basically just a scaffolding too, with so many holes in it that it was like it wasn't there in the first place. He lets out a breath and walks over to the front, raising the hood... Yep, oil was leaking out and the engine was scuffed to fuck. He was honestly surprised it'd run until now.
...
He tries to start the car and it failed, obviously. "Whatever, we'll get a cab there... Six, Sasha, get the psycho to the doc, I'll send you your split later."
"Alright, just be careful... Ciao, Ori." Sasha says, leaving with Six.
"Whaddya gonna do with it?" Rebecca asks, nodding at the wrecked car, "I kinda liked it..." she admits.
"Just leave it here, I guess. Not worth paying to have someone drag it to a scrap yard."
He calls up a cab and has them take him and Rebecca back to the psycho's apartment. Thankfully, they got there just in time to see a homeless guy trying in vain to drag the heavy crate away. He'd got it to the staircase but lacked the strength to carry it down.
After kicking him away, they drop it in the back of the cab and have him drive down to Lizzie's Bar. Ori wasn't trusting taking the thing home since it might have trackers, and the Mox bar was one of the safest places he knew. He confirms the delivery for Dr Chrome, who didn't ask any questions since he'd already been paid for the product, then contacts Regina.
[Job's done, your psycho's with the doc.] - Ori
[Alive, I hope?] - Regina
[Should be, unless your doc trips and stabs the guy.] - Ori

Finding someone who's not just a lead-brained lunatic in this city is hard enough, add the fact they'll be tasked to capture cyber psychos alive and most will just refuse the gig.] - Regina
[I've tried 12 solos and three good rep merc crews. Wanna know how many cyber psychos they managed to catch in one piece? Zero.] - Regina
[Sounds about right, most people realise that cyber psychos aren't like your regular madman. I'd hazard to bet that every single one of them is violent, a big difference from normal psychosis from what I've heard. Trying to bring down a super-chromed up animal with who knows what hardware is hard enough, let alone bringing 'em back alive.] - Ori

Obviously, they won't come up all the time, but having you on call when they do would help a lot.] - Regina
Hm, yeah he didn't know about that... The psycho they fought today was nowhere near as strong as the guys he'd seen on the news, yet he'd kicked his crew around like they were footballs. Then again, they'd be able to ambush the target given prior warning...
[Idk. Not sure my crew would be able to handle most psychos, not while holding back.] - Ori
[That's fine, before any job I'd send you the detes on the target, what known Cyberware they got... I'll even pay if you end up flatlining them, less than you would've got but enough.] - Regina

"Looks like we've got another Fixer on call." he states, glancing at Rebecca who'd been 'patiently' while sitting atop the metal crate.
"Hm? That so? How many we got now then... Q, Rogue, that Mr Hands guy, Padre, Quentin, this 'Regina' bitch..." she idly lists off as she stands, examining the box to see how to open it.
"You're forgetting the others..."
She shrugs, "Eh, they don't count as Fixers, more like dime a dozen helpers or talent finders. You're not gonna say that 'choom' of yours Allen something was a proper Fixer?"
Ori just shakes his head, not replying as he leans down to the crate. It had a hand scanner and number combination lock, one that required a six-digit combination... "Yeah, I have no idea to crack this..."
"Move, I'ma do it the old fashioned way." she states, shoving him off to the side and kicking it over while pointing Guts at locking systems.
"Yo that ain't gonna-"
*BANG!*
*SSCCKKRRRECHH!*
The mangled systems instantly start sparking from the damage they'd taken, once that stops she gives the lid a prod with the barrel of her gun, causing it to just fall open and allow the contents to sprawl out.
"Huh, that definitely shouldn't have worked..." he remarks.
"Ignore that, look at this stuff... All total shit!" she exclaims, gesturing down at the contents. Whatever ideas he'd had to what was in the crate, this hadn't been it.
Multiple bottles of extra-potent immunosuppressants, likely to stop the guy from going cyber psycho... A bit late for that though. There were also many bags of white, synthetic blood that had been previously packed to the brim. A couple were leaking their contents thanks to Rebecca's rough opening, but neither cared.
Synthetic blood was somewhat expensive, but that was only for those purchasing it. The market was entirely run by Corporations. No one was gonna trust getting something as vital as blood from a pawn shop, especially not something stolen.
"What a letdown!" Rebecca bemoans, clearly unsatisfied over what should've been a 'loot box'.
Ori sighs and turns it up the right way after dumping some of the stuff out. He wasn't gonna let anything get by him, he vaguely remembered his sister using a false bottom in one of her scavenged shelves to hide her 'female products'. He reaches down and gives the bottom of the box a few prods, eventually finding a depressable area in the previously completely sleek metal.
He presses it and a click sounds out, the sides of the box falling away, causing it to go completely flat as it reveals the hidden item. "The fuck is that...?"
"Dunno... Looks cool though." Rebecca remarks, squatting over the strange device. Obviously, it was some sort of Cyberware that needed to be implanted, judging by the size, connection points and immunosuppressant ports.
It looked like a bundled cable, some kind of titanium alloy if he was reading the marking on it right. The bundle ended with a vicious-looking tip, one that'd open up at will. "Ooooh... A grapple hook?" he questions aloud.
"Ah! So that's what it is! I thought it was some kinda gun with the launching system, but a grapple hook makes way more sense!... Why is it a grappling hook? I've never seen one on the net or in a chop shop, not that great compared to everything else you can get."
Ori shrugs, "Well, that guy could move, imagine him with the hook. He'd be flying over buildings and we'd never catch him." he says, picking up the cyberwar and weighing it in his hand.
