章 89: Traveling Companions

"Now that Lady Lunaris is gone, we're on our own." Michael said as he stood under a tree, "And for some reason, I'm responsible for you three. Apha, I have no clue how you're even involved in this." 

Apha frowned as she crossed her arms, "Lady Lunaris said that I'm the reason Lucian is playing along." She said as she looked at the Cursed One, "So long as I'm in the group, he'll stay." 

Brodin raised an eyebrow, "Interesting." He said as he looked at Lucian, "What a peculiar condition." 

"Hey, you're playing along because of your wife, right?" Lucian said, "I ain't questioning that, so don't question my reasoning." 

Michael blew some smoke, "A mongrel like yourself can only have vile motives." He said with a serious look, "What's your intention with Apha?" 

Lucian looked at Michael, "Don't blow smoke to my face, jackass." He scowled, "And what do you care?"
