章 134: Season Two: Chapter Thirty Four

Two days before Chase and Chelsea's birthday

Chelsea was bouncing around the café when she woke up from her afternoon nap. Lia had just finished her round of cleaning the tables and smiled at her cheerful daughter. The little girl skipped over to her and tugged at her fingers, asking for her mommy's attention.

Lia kneeled down and took her daughter's little hands into her own, "Yes, honey?"

"Mommy, when is Daddy coming?" Chelsea asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Chase was gone for almost two weeks to attend to his business, which was based in Manila. Before the man left, he promised Lia and their daughter that he would be back soon. Though Lia did not express much concern over Chase's departure, the man was certain that he saw the flash of disappointment when he announced it. So he took Lia's hands and kissed her every finger before placing them against his chest, where his heart is located, and whispering that he would be back soon.
