章 280: Chapter 280: Tsuna vs. Akashi

Tsuna observed the subtle change in Akashi's demeanor as his laughter subsided, though he was almost tempted to burst into another fit of amusement.

He couldn't help but chuckle softly, trying to ease the tension. "...Forgive my laughter, it was unintended, but rather amusing nonetheless."

"..."

Akashi's silence in response only fueled Tsuna's amusement, and he couldn't resist a faint smirk at the sight of Akashi's growing frustration.

"And as for your inquiry," Tsuna pressed on, his voice cutting through the tense atmosphere, "No, I don't possess such eyes. I must admit, I wish I did, but alas..."

Unconsciously, Akashi was relieved to hear that. Yet his body tensed up since he knew Tsuna was about to make his move.

Tsuna regarded Akashi in contemplative silence, his gaze lingering on the intensity in Akashi's eyes.

The power of Akashi's eyes, the ability to glimpse into the future, even if it was just a fleeting glimpse, was undeniably alluring. It was a gift coveted by many, a tool that could offer immense advantages in various situations.

Tsuna couldn't deny the appeal of such a power. In many contexts, it would undoubtedly prove invaluable.

However, when it came to basketball, Tsuna held a different preference.

He found himself partial to Nash's Belial Eyes, which granted him a broader perspective, allowing him to foresee the unfolding events across the entire court—a capability he deemed more advantageous in the fast-paced game of basketball.

"...Still, yours is incomplete," He muttered which Akashi could slightly hear as his pupils suddenly shook.

Tsuna was aware that Akashi's complete mastery of the Emperor Eye extended even further, offering insights that surpassed those provided by Nash's Belial Eyes.

In a game of chess, knowing the opponent's next move could tip the scales in one's favor. It would give Tsuna a strategic upper hand, allowing him to preemptively counter his opponent's actions and steer the game as he wished.

Yet, as Tsuna considered this advantage, a chuckle escaped him.

Despite its undeniable benefits, he found it somewhat uninspiring.

Where was the excitement in predicting every move and planning meticulously?

Tsuna preferred the spontaneity of the game, the thrill of unpredictability that kept him engaged.

He enjoyed the challenge of adapting to unforeseen circumstances, relying on his instincts and flexibility to navigate the evolving dynamics of the match.

While others prioritized predictability, Tsuna found comfort in his readiness for the unknown, confident that his approach, though unconventional, suited his strengths and preferences.

Life had its quirks, like how what worked for one person might not work for another, and vice versa.

Tsuna understood this well and lived by his own rules.

He believed in finding his own way, tailored to his strengths and dreams. Tsuna stuck to what felt right for him, not swayed by others' methods or expectations.

While he was open to refining his approach, Tsuna stayed true to his path, knowing that staying authentic to himself was key, no matter what others might suggest.

As Tsuna dribbled the ball down the court, his gaze fixed on Akashi's glowing Emperor Eyes, he spoke up, his tone deliberate and calm, "Do you believe I allowed Haizaki and Ogiwara to face you without reason?"

"..."

The question caught Akashi's attention, furrowing his brow in response.

Tsuna's smirk widened slightly as he pressed on, "It would certainly be convenient if they sought their vengeance through this match..."

Despite Tsuna's words, he knew well that even with Haizaki and Ogiwara's combined efforts, defeating Akashi wouldn't be a simple task.

"But even if they fall short, I'm here to pick up the slack," Tsuna remarked, his dribbling pace slowing as he spoke, catching Akashi off guard.

"And thanks to their match-up with you earlier, I had the chance to study your Emperor Eyes, Seijuro."

With a sudden burst of speed, Tsuna closed the distance between them, their eyes locking in an intense gaze that brought Tsuna dangerously close to the range of Akashi's Emperor Eyes.

"What?"

The unexpected move caused Akashi's eyes to widen in surprise.

The audience erupted into wild cheers at the intense confrontation unfolding on the court.

Midorima rose from his seat, his eyes wide with astonishment as he witnessed the scene unfolding on the court.

"...He's treating Akashi's eyes as if they're no challenge at all."

Seirin and Kaijo shared the same sense of disbelief, their expressions mirroring Midorima's shock.

Kise couldn't suppress a wry smile as he shook his head, a chuckle escaping his lips. "Kazamacchi never fails to amaze..."

"Hmph! Always the one to flaunt his skills..." Aomine remarked with a scoff.

Despite his words, it was evident from Aomine's wide grin that he was thoroughly enjoying Tsuna's display of dominance over Akashi.

"...Is he really daring to maneuver so freely against Sei?" Mibuchi's disbelief was evident in his voice.

Others shared his shock, their eyes fixed on the unfolding spectacle.

"How dare you, Tsunayoshi Kazama!"

Akashi's frustration was palpable as he clenched his teeth in anger, his voice resonating across the court.

His Emperor Eyes blazed with intensity, granting him foresight into Tsuna's movements. Yet, with each calculated move he made, Tsuna seemed to effortlessly anticipate and counter, leaving Akashi stunned and thwarted.

Akashi's determination was unwavering as he continued to thwart Tsuna's every move...

...refusing to let Tsuna shatter his ego, pride, and unyielding resolve!

"You too naive, Seijuro! Your eyes are great only in such a small place!"

Tsuna fired back, his voice resolute as he swiftly adjusted his strategy as he seamlessly switching the direction of his dribble from left to right, catching Akashi off guard.

Tsuna had completely unraveled Akashi's ability of predicting his every move—the timing, the gaps, and the extent of his foresight.

"His foresight won't count much if I can still see his movement!" Tsuna declared, a confident grin spreading across his face.

With a fluid motion, he pivoted on his heel as he tweaked his trajectory once more, and with a swift flick of his wrist, he dispatched the ball down the court in his elusive pass that seemed to send the ball blurring across the court.

Nijimura had positioned strategically beneath the basket as he intercepted the ball seamlessly, catching Nebuya off guard before he reacted to stop Fukuda Sogo from making more points despite the astonishment etched on his face.

However, Nijimura was simply unstoppable with the current momentum Fukuda Sogo had thoroughly got from Tsuna dominating the duel between them as he forcefully slammed the ball down the basket despite Nebuya's block.

"Whoaaa!"

The spectators erupted into cheers and gasps, their excitement palpable as they witnessed Fukuda Sogo thwarting Rakuzan's efforts to reverse the tide of the game.
