章 83: Amnesia

King Sek went in to see his mother every day and there was still no response from her. Till one morning, he went in and met her eyes open.

"Mother!", King Sek exclaimed. "You are awake"

She stared at him like she didn't know what he was talking about... or like she didn't know who was talking to her.

"Mother?", Sek asked as the smile that was on his face began to wane.

Queen Zyne didn't respond to him, as she continued to eat the fruits that had been brought in for her by her maids.

"My King", Alys said as she bowed and bent her knees. "She has not uttered a word since she woke up"

"Where is the doctor?"

"He is with another patient. He has already checked the queen this morning", Alys said.

King Sek moved closer to his mother. "Mother... can you hear me? Look at me"

Queen Zyne looked at him and shrugged. She popped another grape into her mouth.
