章 107: Snow storm

"Are you sure that was the right decision?" Yu Yanlin's even voice trailed after him.

Zhang Wang sighed, eyes closed with the night breeze against his face. The sharp sting of frost helped him cool his head. The longer he stayed with Guo Lang the shorter his patience became, but in truth, the kid wasn't a bad guy, merely annoying. 

In a small village, an inn was none too impressive. The courtyard was small, with a well placed at its center. A mother was shouting at her kids and telling then go inside to get some rest. Dim glows of candlelight could be seen through the wax paper windows and Zhang Wang tried to drown himself in the serenity of the scene.

Their own room was only across the courtyard, barely five steps away. "He's annoying," Zhang Wang eventually admitted, "but he's not a bad kid."
