章 48: 48. New year

At some point, my lashes had fallen over my eyes and my thoughts had paused. All my mind could dwell on was the sensuous scent of eucalyptus filling my nostrils, and the slow rhythmic pattern of his breathing. The feel of his hand stroking my own and his fingers tickling my nape.

My entire senses are heightened and I can hear my own heart beating and my breath quickening as I wait, and expect. What am I expecting? 

Well, whatever he is planning to give me. As long as it's Duke, I think I will be okay with anything he gives me. Because I have come to trust him, I know it sounds dumb, for a man I just met, but this man is practically my husband now. 

I trusted him enough to marry him on the day I met him, so I think I can trust him with more of me. As long as it's Duke.
