章 6: Chapter 6.
(I'm going to try and change my writing style, I find it difficult to write in First person and not get repetitive.)
Max is currently in biology sitting with Sam, today they'll be dissecting a pig and labeling a diagram of it.
"How'd you sleep Sammy?" Max asks with a bright smile on his face.
"I slept well." Sam answers shyly, her face slightly red as she's picturing his chiseled body she saw over video chat last night.
"You okay Sammy Why's your face red?" Max asks in a concerned tone.
"I'm fine, it's just a little hot today" Sam says trying to cover up her embarrassment.
"Yea you're right it is kinda hot today." Max says in agreement.
"Alright I'll start cutting it up." Max says and picks up the scalpel.
Max starts carving up the pig like its a Turkey on Thanksgiving.
"What were you thinking for sex." Sam says a serious look on her face.
Max's face suddenly becomes smug, as he looks at Sam with amusement.
"I dunno know Sam maybe in my car or my room." Max says with a teasing smile.
"Huh what are you...." Sam says but cuts her sentence off as she realizes what Max meant.
Images of Max's naked body flashes through Sams mind, causing her face to burn up and her cheeks go bright red.
"Max you asshole." Sam says threw gritted teeth and starts lightly punching Max.
"Hehehe.... sorry Sammy I couldn't resist." Max says while chuckling.
"Miss LaRusso is there a problem." Mr. Palmer asks curiously looking at Samantha playfully hitting Max.
"No sir no problem." Sam says even more embarrassed.
"Good then how about you and Mr. Mills get back to work." Mr. Palmer says and goes back to his work.
"Max you idiot, you got me in trouble." Sam says pouting.
"I'm sorry Sammy, I promise I'll make it up to you." Max says with pouting cutely at Alex.
He looks so adorable pouting like that, Sam thinks to herself. it's so unfair, I can't stay mad at him when he looks at me like that, Sam thinks disgruntled.
"Fine." Sam says a small smile breaking onto her face.
"But you better make it up to me." Sam says her tone serious.
"Of course Sammy." Max says with a warm smile on his face.
Sam can't help but feel warm inside seeing that heartwarming smile.
"Alright let's finish this this boring task." Max says and get's back to dissecting.
Miguel and Dimitri.
"Dude stop staring at them it's creepy." Dimitri says looking at Miguel creeped out.
"I know, its just..." Miguel says his tone slightly sad.
"I get it you like her, but girls like that aren't meant for guys like us man." Dimitri says shaking his head while looking at Max and Samantha flirting with each other.
"Maybe you're right." Miguel says depressingly.
"I am, you should look for another girl man I'm sure you'll find someone." Dimitri says reassuringly and pats Miguels shoulder.
After biology It was lunch, Sam an I decided to go together, Miguel and Dimitri also tagged along as we walked to lunch, though they were more like shadows than anything. We all sat at the same table, Eli eventually joined us a little more confident than yesterday. They all took a seat opposite Sam and myself.
"Miguel, Dimitri, Eli this is Sam, Sam this is Miguel, Dimitri and Eli." I say introducing them to each other.
"Hi guys." Sam greets nicely.
"Hey, Hello, Hi." All three boys greet her.
"So you guys going to the dojo today?" I ask them.
"Oh have all three of you joined Cobra Kai?" Sam asks curiously.
"Actually it's only them two, I've decided it would be best if I don't continue." Dimitri says with no shame whatsoever.
Figures, Max thinks to himself unsurprised by Dimitri quiting.
"Why's that?" Sam asks with a small smile, having already figured out the reason.
"Well the man's a bully, all he does is call us names, beats us up and takes our money, I already have that at school, I don't need it after school aswell." Dimitri says in a snobby tone.
"I told you Dimitri sensei isn't a bad guy, if you got to know him better you'd see that." Miguel says defending my father.
"Yea he's a cool dude." I agree with Miguel.
"Of course he's cool to you." Dimitri says sarcastically and rolls his eyes.
"Have you seen you man, you're basically Mr. Karate I wouldn't be surprised if you were a superhero in secret." Dimitri says shaking his head at the unfairness of this world.
This causes Sam to giggle.
"You wouldn't think that if you'd seen Max as a kid." Sam says teasingly.
"Alright Sammy your not allowed to say anymore." I say slightly embarrassed.
"What no we have to hear this." Dimitri says interested. Miguel and Eli also look interested.
"Come on Maxy you owe me." Sam says with puppy dog eyes.
Damn why's she have to look so cute, Max thinks to himself.
"Fine but don't call me Maxy." I say slightly broody.
Maxy sound like those girl products, Maxy pads, so I don't want anyone calling me that.
Sam just rolls her eyes looking at the broody Max.
"Anyway Max was skinner than all of you guys and he used to wear these big round glasses, trying to be a wizard like Harry Potter." Sam says breaking out in laughter.
Miguel, Eli and Dimitri immediately break out in laughter.
"Are you serious hahaha!!!" Miguel says while dying of laughter.
"Yea he carried this brown stick around with him everywhere shouting Expalliarmus." Sam says still laughing.
"Ok enough Sammy or I'll have to tell them about that time in the kiddie pool." I say a smirk on my face.
"You... you wouldn't." Sam says mortified.
"You sure bout that." I say smirking at her.
"Alright, alright I'll stop."
"Anyway moral of the story guys is that you don't have to stay a nerd, if you want to change then do it." Sam says.
"You say that like it's that easy." Dimitri says while rolling his eyes.
"It is that easy, I got that laser surgery to lose the glasses and then I did karate and went to the gym to improve my physique and voila I changed into this." I explain casually while chowing down on my cheese burger.
Hawk and Miguel seems to have had some sort of inspirational moment, while Dimitri is still skeptical.
"Hey Max." Yasmines voice comes out of nowhere.
Max turns around to see Yasmine standing behind him.
"Hey Yasmine." Max returns her greeting.
Dimitri and Eli look nervous and Miguel just looks on curiously.
"Mind if I sit with you?" Yasmine asks politely.
"No go ahead." I say nonchalantly.
Yasmine sits next to me on my left, while moon sits next to her and next to Eli.
"Hey Yasmine, hey moon." Sam says awkwardly.
"Oh hello Sam." Yasmine says annoyed, seeing Sam sitting so close to Max.
"Hey Sam, Hey Max." Moon says in a happy ditsy tone.
"Hey Moon." Max replies in a happy tone.
Max likes moon alot, she's a really good person, just a little dumb at times.
"So Max do you mind if I catch a lift with you to the party this Friday." Yasmine asks while pouting, making her look really cute.
"Uhh sure I don't mind." I answer calmly.
"But Yaz we...." Moon starts but her words are blocked by Yasmines hands.
"We'll talk later Moon." Yasmine whispers in Moons ear.
"What party?" Sam asks confused and a little hurt that she wasn't invited, by Max or Yasmine.
"Oh we're just throwing a small beach party." Yasmine says nonchalantly.
"Yea, you want a lift aswell Sam?" Max asks Sam.
Yasmines has a frown on her face hearing what Max said.
"Of course I'd love a ride." Sam says smiling happily that Max invited her.
Sam looks over at Yasmine a little smug.
"What about you guys?" Max says looking at Miguel and the others.
"Uhh Max this is sort of an exclusive party." Yasmine says a little disgruntled.
"Oh come on Yasmine a few more people wouldn't hurt right?" I say smiling charmingly at Yasmine.
Yasmine feels her heart start to race, stunned by Max's smile.
"Uhh yea that's.. that's fine." Yasmine says still under the effect of Max's smile.
"Great, so you guys need a ride aswell?" I ask the other three.
"No me and Eli will get a lift with my mom." Dimitri says kinda stunned by what he just witnessed.
Damn handsome guys got it so easy, Dimitri thinks sourly.
"I'll get a lift with you." Miguel says happy to go to a party and especially happy to spend more time with Sam, he still hasn't given up yet.
"Ayt then We'll go after practice Miguel, bring some clothes we can get dressed at my place." Max tells him.
"Oh.. okay sure." Miguel replies.
"Uhh can I get a lift with you aswell after practice?" Eli asks shyly.
"Yea sure man." Max says cheerfully.
"Alright that's everyone, I'm sure Friday's going to awesome woohhh!." Max says excited.
Timeskip Thursday after school Cobra Kai dojo.
After getting changed into his karate-gi Max, Aisha and Miguel stand around waiting for sensei Lawrence to start the session, for some reason Eli didn't come with us after school, saying he had something to do.
"Max what happened to your shoulder." Miguel says spotting a massive purple bruise on Max's shoulder.
Max looks down and notices that the bruise he got yesterday can be seen slightly.
"Oh uh it's nothing, I fell and knocked my shoulder against the floor." Max lies calmly.
"Man that looks nasty, maybe you should see a doctor." Aisha says worried.
"It's fine Aisha, I've had worse it's just a bruise." Max says brushing off Aisha's worry.
As Miguels about to say something sensei walks in.
He looks around the dojo and notices a few people are missing.
All the girls that came have dissapeared all apart from one skinny small one with glasses, oh wait that's Bert.
"Three absences today sensei." Miguel says disappointed.
"Bunch of pussies." Aisha says with disdain.
"No it's my fault." Sensei says exasperated.
"Since you've joined Cobra Kai, I have been hard on you, I've called you names, I've humiliated you, some of you I hit." Sensei pauses for a second, "And for that i don't apologize."
"Cobra Kai's about strength, if you're not strong on the inside than you can't be strong on the outside." Sensei says wisely.
He really has a way with words, Max thinks to himself in awe by his dad's words.
"Right now you are all weak."
"Well maybe not Max, but the rest of you are, I should know, I was one of you."
"I used to have no friends, I was the weirdo kid, well not that weird I still hooked up with babes."
"The point is I wasn't always the badass sensei you see today."
"Just like a cobra I had to shed my loser skin to find my true power and you guys will too."
Suddenly the doorbell rings and struts a kid with a blue mohawk.
Everyone looks at the kid with the mohawk in shock because that's actually Eli.
"Eli what happened to you?" Miguel asks shocked.
"I'm flipping the scrip." Eli says confidently.
"Nice man." Max says impressed.
"Wait are you the kid with the lip." Sensei says shocked looking at Eli.
"Nice cut bro" Sensei says impressed.
"You see that." Sensei says pointing at Eli.
"It doesn't matter if you're a nerd, a freak, a loser." "What matters is that you become a badass." Sensei says passionately.
"Hawk fall in." Sensei orders Eli, no Hawk.
"Yes Sensei." Hawk says and kicks off his shoes joining us in line.
"Fear does not exsist in this dojo, does it?" Sensei asks Hawk.
"No sensei." Hawk says confidently.
"Pain does not exsist in this dojo, does it?" Sensei ask Aisha and walks in front of her.
"No sensei." Aisha answers confidently.
"Defeat does not exist in this Dojo, does it?" Sensei walks in front of Miguel and asks him.
"No sensei." Miguel says confidently.
Sensei walks to the front of the class and faces away from us.
"Class are you ready to learn the way of the fist?"
"Yes sensei!!!" All students yell together.
