章 219: Age Wise

Xiao Ting was currently kneeling in the middle of the hall receiving blessings from their great-aunt, a grey-haired woman of eighty-five leaning on a cane. The old woman had long lost her husband and two sons in battle and since then she had lived a recluse life in a manor in the countryside. The last time the Lei family saw her was two years ago when she came over for Lei Xing's coming of age ceremony.

Lei Yong covertly glanced around the room full of people and his eyes settle on Prince Yi who was standing across from him and he slightly knit his brows. Prince Yi had come along with Princess Nalan, Prince Rui and Molin. It did not occur to Lei Yong that Xiao Ting's invitation to the Zou siblings would have extended to Prince Yi. If he knew, he would have told her not to give out the invite....then again, she did not have a chance to consult him on it.

( っ´ω｀c )...Okay, so thoughts?...Ah, one thing I just thought to clarify, just in case anyone was wondering: The coming of age ceremony is typically is done when she turns 15 (in this story anyway, and in general what I've seen, Of course, there are many variants in culture and history, I know). Anyway, it means she's now an adult and can get married. So today is actually her 15th birthday, the others before that are just 'MEH' and a family affair. It's the coming of age ceremony that makes this birthday all the rage LOL hence why it's referred to as a coming of age ceremony celebration and not her birthday...

~ I apologize for the choppy releases the last two weeks. I don't know if it's just me, but at the end of a semester, my brain just wants to shut down for a bit and basically do nothing...Just me? Okay, I might just be weird, getting myself to write recently has been an uphill climb and the last scene with Dr. Lou was a pivotal one as you know. I actually rewrote that one scene three times. LOL I wrote it, thought I was done and just had to edit so took a nap, woke up and hated it or felt it just wasn't right and so had to rewrite it again...and again.

Honestly, scenes with Doctor Lou/Bracelet and LX in particular are quite tricky. While it seems like he says a lot of nonsense to her, there is a method to his crazy and everything he says, even his jokes have meaning and purpose. Which means their scenes are lot more demanding. And yes he does like to mess with LX but that's because she indulges him and is usually ready to sit, prod and debate stuff with him like no one has the time or personality for so he really enjoys that and plays off of her....

Bottom line is I'm just very particular, so if I'm not happy with how a scene plays out, I'm just not going to release it. I feel have to like it for you guys to enjoy LOL It has to be something I'd want to read...Anyway, we're back, we're good, my mind has recaliberated and is riled up to go. I had a great writing session yesterday and I WILL, not hope, will have another great one today LOL....Thank you so much for indulging my rambling, comment on the chapter and see you tomorrow \(^ヮ^)/...
