In the middle of the night, Ashley finally regained consciousness back. She tried to move but felt restricted because of the numbness in her right arm. Turning her head to the other side, she opened her eyes and saw Tristan sleeping while holding her hand firmly.

The evening memories rushed into her mind, and she shut her eyes. Ashley remembered Tristan calling her through the crowd, and when she turned to see him, she felt her body jerk with immense force, and before she could grasp her thoughts, she fell to the floor as her eyes fell on Jane, who tried to run away after shooting her.

Her mind was so chaotic that she couldn't think of anything. Tristan's worried voice made her break free from that numbness, and she raised her head only to blank out the next second.
