Taking back the towel from her hand, Tristan cleaned her. They lay on the bed in each other arms while Ashley rested her head on his chest.

Tristan gently traced his finger on her back, falling into deep thought. He recalled Karl's words, 'I can never be wrong. I am sure it was him. He is finally here.' and his grip around her tightened.

Ashley senses the change as he holds her firmly, and she raises her head, watching him engrossed in deep thought.

"You seem to be lost. Is there something you want to share with me? I can be a good listener," Ashley cupped his face catching his attention.

Tristan looked down at the woman in his arms. She had become his weakness, and the thought of anyone harming her was killing him.

He didn't know why that man chose her out of everyone in his life. He had no clue what he was planning, but Tristan would never let him lay his dirty eyes on his precious woman.
