Saliva slid down Asher's throat as he and 24 others with Marisilver at the front leading them through the dark passage.
'Why did the dungeon suddenly change?" He thought nervously.
«This is an effect of the 'Villan's Halo'. Changes are constantly being made to the plot.»
'Shouldn't I get Villan Points for that?'
«You only get Villan Points from your own actions, not the Villan's Halo.»
'Right...' Asher stared at the suspicious looking purple angel like halo floating above his head.
Asher snapped out of his thoughts as he bumped into the tall hunk in front of him.
"Hey, why did you–" Asher's words got locked in his throat. The passageway had ended and it brought them to a large hall like room built out of bricks and in the center was something that he had only seen in books.
The man there had a long black horn protruding from the left side of his head and a large tusk protruding from the right corner of his mouth.
He had short black hair that seemed to be standing on their ends but that wasn't what frightened Asher.
It was his magical power.
The aura spilling out of him was equal to that of his mother's or even higher. A pure core mage.
"W-what is a Ryten doing here?" Some spoke nervously.
Rytens were known as the 'perfect race'. They were born with mana cores at a minimum of peak lavender green colour.
Impenetrable skin and defense, unparalleled magic prowess, mana pool as large as an ocean, what didn't they have?
The only silver lining was thant they all had a weakness but it was different for each individual Ryten and there was also the fact that it changed everyday.
If one had a weakness to fire today, tomorrow it would be water and the next day, it would be apples. It could be anything.
Before anyone could find out the weakness of the Ryten, they would be long dead.
They had secluded themselves in thier safe-heaven and only came out occasionally for tournaments.
Lirtania continent was their home and any intruder who stepped foot on the land would be sliced in half instantly.
Trade happened at the port and the post alone and thus caused some rumors to spread about them and they were used to scare children to bed along with democs and vampires which was why the reactions of the group were quite unsurprising.
...but two people were different.
Asher, because he was only frightened at the magical power and Mia...
"N-no, it really happened!"
"What's wrong?" Asher asked her. He had noticed her muteness throughout the journey and it was quite worrisome. She was more enthusiastic about the whole thing a few weeks ago.
"I had a dream two days ago and I shook it off because it was only a dream but... This was the exact scene. Asher, run! Everyone's going to die!"
"Die?" Asher raised an eyebrow and a chill ran down his spine.
"Lord Zerius said he'd be here. The first Celestial child." The Ryten finally spoke and opened his eyes.
A light red colour that gleamed like gems.
"Celestial child?" Those words resounded in Asher's mind.
"Asher, run–" Mia was interrupted by the scene in front of her.
Blood splashed on Asher's face as the tall guy in his front fell with his head sliced off cleanly.
Brain matter spilled out of his skull like one would break a coconut to get the sweet juicy parts.
... but instead of the coconut water, this was blood and the sweet juicy insides here was the brain.
"AHHHH!" The girl next to them screamed but it flew past Asher's ears.
He may have killed before but he'd never spilled blood so the gory scene in front of him was nauseating but he was able to resist the urge.
"W-what?" He didn't have time to connect his brain and soul together, another body fell.
Another, another.

~thud~

Rinse, repeat.

"Stop... Why are you doing this?"
Body after body fell and the Ryten seemingly stayed in one spot.
"Stop! Stop killing them! It's me you want right?!"
"Pity, I'm beginning to enjoy this." The Ryten finally moved and he went straight toward Marisilver who was still rooted go one spot. The pressure from before was still affecting her.
Asher jumped into action too to protect Marisilver but he was a split second too late.
A large part of her stomach had been gouged out and her innards flew out and blood sprayed the floor.
"Noo! Damn it!"
Wait, there was only one person left for him to kill...
"Mia!!" He turned around again and he made a new spell on the spot.
[Subspace]
Mia was sent into a new space world he'd created, one that he could carry around with him.
"Hmm? How'd you do that? Interesting, just like Lord Zerius said."
"Who is this Lord Zerius? What does he want with me?" He asked calmly although he was breathing heavily.
"It's because you're a celestial of course, although incomplete. I just wanted to fight and he gave me someone. I should go after the other group after my battle with you." He smiled innocently.
"Flynn, Marigold, Mikey..." Asher spoke.
"Those your friends? I'll make sure to save them for the last and toture them before they die. A nice way to leave this world isn't it? Hehehe."
"Battle? I'm sorry but you're mistaken my dear sir. This is going to be a totally one sided battle straight out of Dracula's nightmares!"
