Evening At Mr. Denver's Residence

"The laborers told me that you left early, Maxwell? I thought you were supervising the site until the end of the worker's shifts?" Mr. Denver questioned Maxwell.

They were inside the living room and both were having tea. Mr. Denver was reviewing the contracts on his desks when Maxwell approached him.

Maxwell felt as if his head would burst in pain. He was really exhausted and had just finished visiting the police station to report Rica's disappearance.

"Where have you been? And looked at yourself, you look like a mess..." Mr. Denver questioned with a deep frown.

"I w-went to the p-police station near the boundary of District 6 and District 7. My girlfriend is missing, grandpa. And she was accused by some investors that she was involved in the financial investment scam," Maxwell answered softly. His hand was pressed on the side of his head, trying to ease the headache.
