章 9: Chapter 8 “Clumsy Invitation”
"What does he do? I never seen him call you?" Ellen remarked taking a chunk out of her cake. "He works at a financial institute. We don't talk very often and he doesn't want me to distract him from work." Lisa frowned.
Ellen seemed to have noticed because she tried to break the tension "Wow! This cake is delicious, I want more tomorrow." I guess it worked. "Haha! Ellen, your so cute.. like a turtle."
"Ellen what's wrong?"
"Lisa, why am I not a male. If I was a male, my parents wouldn't be divorced.." she sniffles in despair we've all felt it. "Let the tears flow.. sometimes letting it out makes you feel better. Don't keep it all to yourself"
In the corner of my mind I've stashed my beloved Leon, in hope he would at least call. We are about to get married,
All this thinking made me miss him, but forever even a text would be enough, almost on cue my phone went off "Ellen I have to take this it will be quick
"Unknown number?" 'Why are you up so late, it's not good for you, go to sleep' hmph what a creep.
I look outside my window hoping for nothing to just pop out. I glare through the trees and apartments across from me, there was no one. Just then another message. 'Don't worry, your safe. Add my wechat: 68567888, oh and save my number. Signed, Houston' I immediately tense my face I didn't want it to be that fool. "How is it him"
I begin to start a sweat. 'He's a celebrity and he's texting me. Is he bored?'
The other side tell a different story, a happy houston on the phone smiling for a start. 'What are you waiting for. If you don't add me I'm going to knock on your door!"
For me, I wish he was gone, and now he is threatening me? Can't he be a gentleman. I haven't been on wechat since before I met with Leon, I really wonder where he went. We chat was all the way in the back. I have to resign in and found Houston's profile
The first thing I spot was a bright red cap, it seems so familiar, like I've felt it somewhere, anyway this is way to awkward, what should we talk about?
