"KILLIAN," Yvo summoned his right-hand man after getting back to the carriage. This time, he was in the carriage with Quin and Xavier Lagun who were sitting side-by-side across from him. "Come out."

Quin and Xavier Lagun looked confused at first.

A few moments later, they heard a knock on the window. The curtains inside the carriage blocked the window, but he didn't need to move them to know it was Killian.

"Report," Yvo said without moving from his seat. "What are the vassal families up to?"

Of course, it wasn't only Yvo and Gyspy who were invited to the empire's founding festival.

Their vassals were also invited.

[They probably heard the rumor about me and Noonim by now.]

"The rumor about my lord and Her Ladyship has reached the vassals' ears already," Killian reported from the other side of the door. "I heard them talk about confronting my lord and Her Ladyship as soon as we get back to the duchy."

He already expected that much.
