Virtya Markov was a librarian in his past life and that might be the reason as to why he managed to secure the book of technology into his mind.
Although Virtya was still a greenhorn when it came to the matters of engineering and most fabrications, he had managed to achieve a breakthrough in the field of mechanics because of his many interactions with the mechanical components that he ordered the blacksmiths to fabricate. Virtya might not know the function of each of these mechanical components but through the use of the book of technology, Virtya had managed to know it all even if he couldn't fabricate most of these items because most of them needed an advanced technology to create them.
Something like an android phone could not be made by Virtya just because he wanted it, no. He first needed the minerals and the technology that would enable the fabrication of the phones and that was why Virtya didn't even think about fabricating the phones, he could only make stuffs that could be easily unfolded with the current technology like the cement plant and the blast furnace.
Naturally, one should know that even if anyone out there was inept at a labour work like masonry, if they interacted with masons at the construction sites and then allow themselves to also try to do what the masons were doing after several days of their observation, their trials would definitely come to fruition and make flawless constructions like those who were adept at masonry.
One didn't need to go to a technical school to learn masonry but they could just learn that through observation and doing practicals and that was why Virtya was able to help the blacksmiths in fabricating the roller chain after observing and interacting with the blacksmiths and their works.
However, this didn't mean that Virtya was now cocky because he could effortlessly fabricate pieces of steel, no. Virtya knew that the road ahead was paved with countless obstacles especially when he would want to fabricate the complicated stuffs like the electronic chips, vehicles, and many electronic gadgets.
Furthermore, one should know that Virtya and anyone else out there in this world didn't knew how huge their world was, they only had a rough estimate of the maps of their kingdoms which was not perfect. After all, there was no technology to measure how huge their world was or to get the perfect map of their kingdoms.
Virtya only knew that Azuhai kingdom was as large as USA in his past life after he perused through the records and that was all. He didn't knew how huge the kingdom of Magyo was. Virtya only knew that the kingdom of Magyo was very much bigger than Azuhai because this was the information that everyone out there knew but when you asked them to give the evidence that showed Azuhai kingdom was larger than Magyo, no one would give out that evidence or answer that query because there was no Magyo kingdom's maps out there.
One could easily find rough maps of cities like Whiddiff and other towns and there were also maps that showed one the route to pass if they wanted to reach to their destination, of course, this was made possible because of the availability of the merchants who used those routes but that didn't mean that they had the whole map of a kingdom as it was only the royal palaces that had the map of their kingdoms and they didn't allow that information to leak as there might be some secrets in their maps that showed stuffs like how many mining areas they had or where they had kept their forces.
However, sometimes this information about mapping get leaked by the spies which made a kingdom vulnerable as the enemy knew the ins and outs of that kingdom and where they could strike the hardest so that they could easily cripple the kingdom.
A very example of a leaked map is the map of the Azuhai kingdom. It was not only the royalties of other kingdoms who knew much about Azuhai but also many merchants had a complete map of the entire Azuhai kingdom after the map got leaked by the spies from Magyo kingdom when King Markov was still reigning.
