Maria extended her invitation for Das to accompany her to the office. His response was a soft chuckle that conveyed his amusement. "Come on. At least let me finish my breakfast." He said annoyingly as she is forcing his to sit inside the car.

Her rebuttal was swift and laced with playful persistence. "Nah... You'd take a good two hours to complete breakfast in this ladies' hostel. I've got a hearty breakfast ready for you at the office." Maria said with a shy laughter.

An impish thought crossed Das' mind, his grin widening mischievously. A glint in his crimson eyes and the curve of his grin stirred a flicker of unease in Maria.
