章 75: The warning

I felt sad for Dav. This was no paradise, this was a prison. Why the heck would he call this place a paradise? Clearly, there were numerous rooms in the house, why would he be placed underground?

"What do you mean by your room?" I asked for the sake of all conflicts.

With a huge grin on his face, Dav replied "I spent most of my childhood here." 

Sigh. If I didn't know better, I would have guessed that the smile had been forged. 

"But… but this is not a good place for a child to stay, what did the queen say about this?"

The moment those words left my mouth, Dav let out a sigh, and the next second, he face-palmed himself.

He removed his hands from his face and this time, his smile was long gone as he stared at me in frustration but his frustration was not focused on me. I don't even think his thoughts were directed at me.
