章 50: One knight

"My lord, we've lost all contact with lord Belzar," a knight knelt before the knight in white.

"I see," she said.

White armor, accented with gold. She took off her helmet to stare at the knight beneath her. Her golden eyes almost glowed. "I believe he was in pursuit of this undead?"

Ten or so tents behind her. The knights had traveled far, and they were resting for now.

"Yes, my lord," he, captain Zell, said. "I fear the undead declined our summons and murdered lord Belzar."

"Hmm… why would he?" she mumbled, stroking her chin, and then staring at the distant sun. Green as far as the eyes could see.

"I mean, why else would lord Belzar be-"

"He killed lord Denegeal because Denegeal attacked first. This undead, Sean was perfectly willing to converse. He even let some of the knights go so they may report to us."

"But-"
