Raul opened his mouth only to close it. He opened it again only to close it without uttering word. He didn't know what to make out of Max's statement that sounded like a joke and like a mega threat at a time.

Max must not be joking, the old man affirmed inwardly. He just gave the young one his second soul — Evelyn — even though he was showing like he wasn't very shocked to see the girl given to him.

When Raul Brayden opened his mouth for the third time, he knew what to say:

"But Evelyn can't harm anyone here because we have those who can easily take her down nearby." The old man nods caused his flowy mustache to wiggle. "We know about her amazing Gift, of course, because she severally used it in in the attempt of breaking free." He said, sounding terrorized by a certain memory of Evelyn attempting to break free.
