"Granny, my master hasn't come back," she said, cupping her chin in her palm as she propped her elbow on the island counter.
A while ago she was watching Granny cut the vegetables for the meat stew that she was going to cook for her dinner. But when she suddenly remembered Calixto, she lost interest in watching Granny cook.
In the beginning, she was interested in learning to cook but she realized after a few tries that she liked eating more than cooking. And cooking only looked fun on a cooking show. The actual cooking was not as much fun as the actual work.
Granny looked at her and smiled. "Did he tell you when he will be back?"
"No." She pouted and clicked her tongue. "I was told that we are going to leave our previous residence and then ended up just leaving, and then, I arrived here when I was asleep.
"It looks like your master has a lot of things in his hands that he doesn't have time for you—"
"Iris have you eaten?"
