Silence fell among them, not even Charlotte said a word. It was as if they had been immersed in deep waters.

"Bre, I always tell you to quit going mom's stuff, how did you even know that's dad?" Bryson scolded his sister.

"He's our dad, besides he looks exactly like you, except you're little," Breanna argued back, never one to back down.

Asher watched the two kids' argument, it was like Jake and him when they were younger. They would argue for hours but in their case, Jake would be punished.

Seeing a mini Jake in front of him, Asher couldn't deny the resemblance and boldness.

"Stop arguing kids, we will have this conversation later at home," Selene said receiving a nod from both kids.

"Okay, go with your aunt Charlotte I would like to have a word with this gentleman," Selene said nodding at Charlotte signalling her to take them away.

She turned to look at Asher who seemed to be lost in thought, admiring them.
