I was trying to decipher his statement, make head or tail of his abrupt confession and piece together the puzzle to throw light in my head. But the more I analyze it, the less I become successful in solving it. 

'What the fuck was he talking about? He said he loved me from the very start and that he fell in love with me way back then. When was that precisely? Did he mean that he already loved me on the day of our marriage? But that's impossible, because we only met that day, not unless he fell in love with me through a photograph or something. Besides, I caught him and Lucy that day inside the ladies' room. He wouldn't do such a thing if he already loved me at that time. So what does he mean by that? When did his affection for me start and blossom? Because obviously it wasn't during our wedding day.'
