章 2: Chapter 2
Mandy, Jackson, and I currently didn't have a room to go to. Lola and Neil where still well... You know. Jalen was heartbroken... I don't know how she's a heartless whore. She slammed her door and you could her her muffled cried coming from her room.
"What if we go to Myles and Julian's dorm?" Jackson suggested
"That's stupid, he's probably doing what they are!" I say
"Where else then?" Mandy asked
"I wonder where Delilah's dorm is?" I say
"We'll call her." Mandy impatiently says
"At three in the morning?" I ask
"Just call her." She said
I got out my phone and called Delilah. She picked it up after it rang three times.
"Hello?" She asked
She was obviously sleeping.
"Sorry to wake you, we have a... Situation in our dorm and we have no where else to go." I say
"Dorm 156A the doors unlocked." She spoke
"Thank you."
"Anytime." She said
Then the line went dead.
"156A guys." I say
"Cool." Jackson said
"Great." Mandy smiled
The three of us walked in and laid on the two empty beds Delilah said we could sleep on. Mandy got a bed to herself as well as Delilah. Jackson and I had to share. It was silent. A very awkward silence.
I would move and end up facing him then I'd quickly turn away. He'd fall asleep and put his arm around my waist, which I didn't mind I could easily blame him for that.
If you where to ask me if I had feeling for him I'd deny it so fast. But if you where to ask me with no one around I'd fold like my grandma in a card game.
I finally fell asleep at 5 in the morning. I had a feeling classes would be miserable in the morning.
*beep* *beep* be-*
I took my alarm and threw it out the window. I quickly pulled myself back inside and shut the window.
"Why'd you do that?" Delilah asked
"That damn thing was pissing me off." I said
"I'm gonna head to my room." Mandy said walking out
Jackson and I followed behind. He stopped me in the hallway.
"About last night-"
"Let me stop you right there... I know it was very awkward but what happens at night stays at night." I say
"But I don't want it to stay there... I don't even know what it was." He scratched the back of his neck
"I don't either." I shrug
I start walking toward the dorm room again. I opened the door and found Lola awkwardly sitting in her bed. Neil was on the sofa on the other side of the room.
"So you guys had fun last night..." I said trying to lighten up this silent room.
Neil looked at Lola and smiled. Lola sat there with her hands folded in her lap.
"Sure." Lola remarked
"Sure? Really? It looked like you two were into it!" Jackson pushed
"Back off Jackson." Neil says
"Woah, I wasn't the one cheating." He said
"I don't need this." Neil said
He pushed past Jackson and I and walked out with his backpack and books. Lola say there on the bed. The shower was running so I assumed Mandy was in there.
I sat next to Lola.
"Are you okay?" I asked
She looked like she needed a hug.
"Out of all honesty I'm terrible, I've been wanted to date him for the longest time... But I didn't want anything like this to happen." Lola sighed
Jackson sat down on the other side of her.
"Neil will get over it, and I'm pretty sure he's gonna end up asking you out." He says
"Really?" She asked looking at him
"I'm pretty sure, I've known him since fifth grade." He said
She seemed to perk up there. I looked out the window to see Neil. He sat on the benches in front on campus. He looked as if he was crying.
I'll be right back. I walked out and down the stairs to the benches. I sat down next to Neil. I put an arm around him. He raised his head and looked up at me.
"Lola's never going to forgive me." He sobbed
"Lola?" I ask, "What about Jalen?"
"Jalen? Why would I care what she thinks? I know she's cheated on me..."
"So why did you cheat on her?" I ask
"I didn't mean to, but Lola was there and she started talking and we found out we had a lot in common and one drink lead to another until the whole fridge was empty." He sighed
"Why are you so afraid she's not going to forgive you?" I ask
"Because I saw it in her eyes this morning when we woke up." He said
"Neil don't worry." I say
"Why I have every reason to!" He said
"No you don't." I say
"Why not?" He asked
"She only looked at you like that because she felt guilty about the whole situation, she likes you but she didn't want it to happen like that." I said
"Are you sure?" He asked
"She literally said that not even three minutes ago." I laugh
"Thank god." He sighed
The Jalen approached us.
"What are you cheating on me with her now?" She asked
"Really? Your gonna yell at me for cheating when I know you fucking cheated on me with Theo Lykoan! And no I'm not cheating on you with Adena, I'm cheating on you with Lola... And beside it's not technically cheating if your not even with the other person... I'm breaking up with you." Neil shouted
"Fine!" She huffed and walked off
I looked at my phone.
"We probably should head off to class before we are late." I say
I walk to my first official class at university of Kentucky. I passed the flag with our mascot and team colors.
Which was the wildcat. We had a pretty decent basketball team.
I started my first class of Advanced Biology, the first step in becoming a doctor. I got into the class and sat in the third row which was the closest to the front I could get. Then the teacher walked in.
"Hello I'm Ms Briggs, this class may be a bit of a challenge so for those students who don't like to be challenged I suggest walking out now and totally disregarding the dream of becoming a doctor." She said
A student got up and walked out.
"Any others?" She asked
Two more got up and followed.
"Smaller than last year, six students walked out... Okay let's get started!" She smiled
