章 15: Azathoth

First Pov

I began to wake up when my time magic started to falter and I could already tell why, the laws of the universe were getting weaker and thinner. I had already wondered how reality was able to exist in Nothingness, theoretically it should also turn to Nothingness on contact and I'm not even going to start questioning how reality was created.

As the border moved closer to me, I started to understand why I had always fallen unconscious when nearing it. A weak soul like mine simply wasn´t meant to leave the universe, of course it wasn´t actually me who left but the universe so I simply fell unconscious until I was in the Nothingness, but now that I had grown in dimension I should be able to pass consciously.

As I finally passed the border I immediately started to notice two things, first, if you were to numerise the laws of reality as 1 million, then you would see that the closer you went to the edge, the weaker they got and after crossing the border they would suddenly plumb from 10.000 to 100, second, it was chaos. Laws here might have been weak but they were numerous, I could now feel laws here that were not from the reality I just left, they were a gathering of laws from all realities trying to resist the Nothingness. I had no clue where this was but I was certain that this was neither reality nor the Nothingness.

What ever it was, it was also moving, even if a lot slower but that gave me enough time to observe and try to understand this place. I had spotted many being here, but it seemed that they couldn´t see me however I had grown certain of one thing, this place was were beings that were too powerful for their reality ended up. I had seen several being I could identify as either Primordial gods, outer gods or other being.

As I continued moving, I finally encountered a being that could sense me and I knew that being, in fact everyone has at least heard of it´s name, the Blind Idiot God, Azathoth.

It´s form was constantly changing to forms that even I had trouble comprehending and while wasn´t getting insane, I did feel a little dizzy, scratch that, I felt terribly dizzy. I could feel it look at me, I could also feel that it was confused and intrigued and then I started making sounds. I presume that this was its language, similar how I had my own, made up entirely of meaning. It was thanks to my ability to understand meaning that I could understand it. He was confused of what I was and how I felt like the Nothingness outside. I wanted answers as well, so I send him the meaning that I would answer one question of his and after that he would have to do the same. He didn´t seem that pleased with that and swung one of his… tentacles, hand, limbs at me. For a moment I really thought that this was my end, only for him to pass right through me, and again and again. After trying for a while, he finally gave up and agreed, we spend a lot of time talking, I told him my story and he answered my questions.

Apparently, this place was what the Outerverse, a place created by the radiating laws of all realities, and he was the main power source that held them all together. Normally this Outerverse would also have been erased but his infinite energy was regenerating it just as fast as it was being erased. If he were to stop, not only would the Outerverse and all reality inside it be erased but he too would disappear, so he didn´t have a choice and had to be a battery for his own wellbeing. Understanding the structure was not easy but simplifying it as a donut would be enough for now. Sprinkles were the realities, the donut the Outerverse and the hole and anything outside the Nothingness. Like I said, very simplified.

Azathoth was rather intrigued by my story, or better said my being. Not that I could blame him, I became what he had to sacrifice himself to in order to survive. I could tell that he was hoping that I could somehow grow strong enough to free him from his self-imposed prison. I had no idea if I could do it or if I even wanted to free him, after all he had a purpose now but once he didn´t who knows what he would do.

Anyway, the Outerverse continued moving, and it wasn´t long until I arrived at the border of the Outerverse and holy, Azathoth wasn´t joking when he said he was using infinite energy to resist the erasure of the Nothingness, I could feel it now.

When I crossed the wall I instantly felt the difference. Not only did the laws drop from 100 to 0 but I also felt strangely at home. I didn´t even realize that I missed this place so much, it was so quiet, peaceful and welcoming to me. I decided that I wasn´t going to go on another adventure for a while and simply enjoy the feeling of being back home.

A/N- Was my explanation of the Outerverse understandable? Also, the Outerverse is were he will meet many powerful beings like Chaos, OAA, The Presence and many more.

章 16: Journey to the Jade Palace

First Pov

Man, I think I could relate to Knull now. If I was in any way disturbed here. I too would seek to destroy it. I was actually kinda reluctant to leave again but I also really wanted to find a way to be here with a body, because staying as just a soul feels really wrong and uncomfortable. I could create myself a body using my magic but it would immediately cease to exist. My studies have shown that my soul, as well as my energy, were the only thing capable of existing here, so the easiest method would be to become a spirit, a lifeform made of energy, but I didn´t like that, I was unique in any way and I would not let my body be any different. So, I have no other option but to create a body that is both spiritual, biological, more and none of these at the same time, kinda like the Outer Gods are but different, it would be made by me, for me, to suite my power and status and I already had a plan for that. The plan would definitely take a long time but I was in no hurry, however for the plan to start I had to actually leave my home and go back to reality. No other choice, I guess.

So, I made my way back to where I could sense the Outerverse, this time there was no one who was strong enough to notice me. It wasn´t long before I spotted a reality nearby, my plan required specific universes but finding them was going to be hard, so I would just go to every reality I come across and at some point, I would arrive at the ones I needed. The moment I entered the new reality, I could feel that it had a new type of energy, this one not only seemed more spiritual than others I encountered but was also a lot harder to change into other forms, it seemed more like the lifeforce of this universe than anything else.

I could always look into it later, for now I had to find a new body to blend in. I felt around the universe, sensing many different dimensions until I finally spotted a planet with many different life forms. Interestingly enough, I had not been able to find any human, which would have actually been strange because what are the chances that three universes in a row had humans. Good thing I didn´t just create my own human body I a world where humans don´t exist. Once I arrived at the planet, I saw many creatures that looked like humanoid animals, I guess I was expecting too much when I was hoping for new creatures. I looked around a bit before I found an orangutan, no idea how old he was but he was small, so I was guessing he was a child.

My new life has been rather boring till now, my 'parents' were an orangutan and a lemur, no idea how this worked, but apparently I was 5 years old. This world has proven itself not only to be completely populated by humanoid animals but I was also rather familiar to me. This world was martial arts based or to be more precisely, kung fu, and it was crated by a certain tortoise a few hundred years back. For anyone who still didn´t know where I was, I was in Kung Fu Panda. I had now entered two universes, that were fiction from the earth I was originally born on, in a row and I could no longer shove it up as coincidence. Sure, there were infinite realities but me entering two in a row that were built exactly how I knew them was not normal and I was surely going to investigate this 'coincidence'.

Anyhow, for now all that didn´t matter, I had already made plans on how I could benefit from this universe. Firstly, I could finally get some real battle experience, secondly, I could learn how to use many weapons correctly, thirdly, I was going to devour countless souls that had higher martial talent than my last universe, and lastly, I was so gonna absorb the Wellspring. My reserves have been stuck at Universal because the souls in Black Clover all had so little mana, most didn´t even have city level, the Wellspring however had a low Multiverse level reserve of chi. I definitely wasn´t going to care about the fact that I was literally absorbing the lifeforce of an entire reality, such opportunities were definitely extremely rare and I would benefit way too much. I just had to be careful to absorb the Wellspring when I´m all finished up with getting everything else from here, because I was certain that the moment I absorbed this universes lifeforce, it would simply die.

I decided to go to Valley of Peace to learn, me 'parents' were really proud of me when I told them that. As I made my way to the Palace and the founder of Kung Fu, I couldn´t help but smile at the thought of low Multiverse level reserves, that would directly place me into the big leagues of even the strongest realities like Marvel or DC. I would decide how to grow my World Tree later, because this universe had the spirit realm this was going to be a bit more complicated.
