章 7: Victory
The ogre was chasing Gabriel at full speed. Upon reaching the lower floor of Hogwarts, the magician turned around with a subtle movement. The troll had not yet come down the stairs.
Before the troll came down, Gabriel saw that there were several swords exposed on the wall, or together with statues of knights.
The boy grabbed one of them, which he said was in better condition. It belonged to one of the full body armor.
Also, with his left hand, he grabs his wand from his uniform pocket. Wielding a double combination of weapons, both medium range and melee.
The troll went furiously to the young man, and raising his huge bat, launched a rather powerful attack.
Gabriel without much difficulty dodging the attack.
"A lot of physical strength but very little speed." - he said quietly.
The troll, although he did not understand the words spoken by Gabriel, seeing how his attack was dodged, his fury increased much more.
Preparing for another attack, the troll this time was done a little backwards.
"Hm. A charge attack, very interesting. At least you know how to use your body to your advantage. You are still too slow to hit me with that kind of onslaught. "- he said again aloud.
The trol charge, but as planned, Gabriel predicted his career, and quickly counterattacked with the sword.
The cut left part of the creature's arm open, so the blood was screaming. After the cut, the trol let out an incredibly scary scream. Even the boys in the great hall heard him.
"Surprising, apart from the hardness of your skin, its regenerative power is not bad at all. I even hurt a little on the wrist of my right hand by the force I put to cut him. "- Gabriel thought as he prepared to launch another attack.
The troll, very annoyed by the magician's actions, and possessed by an almost infernal fury, reloaded with all his power.
"You didn't learn your lesson!" - Gabriel shouted, while dodging the burden of the troll.
When the creature's onslaught was only about twenty centimeters, Gabriel quickly prepared to dodge on his left side, to cut off his other hand.
Following his plan, Gabriel began to move to the left, but the trol to see that he was going to do the same as before, this time swinging the bat. That blow was much more powerful and faster than the previous ones since it carried the speed of its onslaught next to the weight of the body of the troll itself.
"Shit!" Gabriel shouted.
I quickly condense magical power on his wand, just enough to cast a small spell.
"Lumos!" - said the magician, creating an intense light, coming from his wand.
Gabriel quickly intensified the power of light even more, and directed it towards the head of his opponent, leaving him without vision. The troll fell into a state of confusion, which affected his initial attack allowing the boy to dodge the bat, leaning back a little.
The trol, still blinded by the intense light, began to swing his bat in every way.
"Not bad, although I can't see anything, he thought of that strategy to defend against my physical attacks. He seems to have some talent for battles. "- thought Gabriel.
Seeing that he could not approach because of the unbridled attacks of the troll, he decided to launch a combined attack between magic and the sword while the Lumos spell still lasts.
Gabriel, with his right hand, raised his sword, pointing towards the head of the troll. In his left hand, a lot of magic accumulated inside his wand.
"Bye!" - said Gabriel. "Expeledor" - the young wizard shouted as the sword shot towards the head of the troll.
The sword was stuck in the forehead of the troll, piercing his skull thanks to the large amount of magic he used in the spell.
The body of the troll fell to the ground, inert.
Gabriel sat on the floor, hoping he regains his breath. After a few moments, the young man climbed the stairs again.
"How are the others?" - Gabriel thought as he climbed the stairs with incredible speed.
Arriving at the old majestic door, he saw that both Cedric and the other older students had also ended the life of the other troll.
"It seems that everything is over!" - said the magician as he entered the room.
The others turned and were surprised to see him. By the arduous battle, they had forgotten the other troll.
"Your…. Are you okay? "- Cedric asked.
"Perfectly." - Gabriel replied.
Upon hearing the magician's response, one of the Weasley brothers asked.
"But how is it possible, how did you beat a troll by yourself?" - said one of the redheads.
After a few moments, Gabriel raised his hand and pointed to his head with a finger.
"Obviously I won using my head." - he replied.
