"It is not too late to get out of this. I work in the court so I have a way to end this marriage in secret," Isaac offered Selene.

Even after attending the small ceremony on Xavier's estate, Isaac was yet to get used to the fact Xavier was now married to Selene of all people.

Isaac would have never thought of Selene among the women to marry Xavier. 

"Thank you but I want to stay in this marriage. You should be careful since Xavier will hear you. I want to thank you now for attending. It was too short notice for my friend to attend so I am glad Xavier had a friend to attend," said Selene.

"Oh, you are mistaken. I am not friends with Xavier. We meet to speak of matters concerning the kingdom at times."

"Then, if you have met many times and you have attended his wedding, aren't you friends?" Selene asked, puzzled by the relationship the two had. "Is it bad to say you are his friend?"
