章 4: The Bandits

(Bandit leader POV)

Tonight is meet up night for me and my crew. We do this to split the shares of everything we sold and to discuss strategies for our theft and heists. The most important reason for me however is to talk with my crew about what they are doing.

We are all friends so it's nice to talk together. It also allows me to chew out any weaklings or traitors in the group. We are sort of a family with only being able to turn to us for a normal conversation without being attacked.

So we met outside our usual meeting spot to go inside. However we all noticed something strange, we have been meeting in this spot for a while and it has been abandoned for a long time yet there were lights on. None of my men were in there meaning that someone lived there now.

Usually we wouldn't confront whoever was in there and find a different spot but we left somethings there. The night before we broke into a Nobles mansion and stashed some things there. We stole a lot of gold coins along with some furniture like a mirror and some paintings.

We couldn't leave all that money there so we got ready and rushed in and said "This is a robbery give us all your money or die"

(Kumo POV)

(Language translation skill acquired) That good it's permanent too as I didn't ask my domain.

The smile I previously had on my face was gone and now replaced with panic. I had no idea what to do in this kind of situation, should I give him my money or fight back? Now than I think about it I don't have any money. I guess I could use my overpowered skill to get rid of them but I don't want to resort to violence. I guess I will just try to talk it out. With That mind I said

"I don't have any money to give you sir" due to me being robbed I don't exactly have calm nerves but I try my best

"He's lying just look at him." , "yah let's beat him up." While the other bandits stood a distance away outside and near the door the man that looked to be their boss had two really chatty men behind him that can only be described as lackey1 and lackey2 who just went with the flow.

"Be quiet" the boss said said to the lackeys, the boss would have looked like your every day mid20s man if not for his grey hair and scars on him. He then said

"I guess your story checks out as you weren't here last night so your good for now I guess." I was relieved that he wasn't dumb and realized this. He then said "Go and get the stuff, quickly!" Then all of his goons quickly went in and took all my fancy paintings and even the mirror I looked into when I first got here. They also lifted up floor boards and pulled up big sacks that looked heavy and that made jingle sounds. While the bandits were busy the leader came to the counter and sat in a stool.

He then said in a hearty laugh "Ha I must say I've never seen a person be robbed and be this calm about it!" I then gave a awkward chuckle and said "I would rather talk it out and fight I guess." , "Would you like to order something?"

He then had a big grin on his face and said "You sure are interesting I might as well." He then ordered a simple ale and a stake. So I when in the back, made a slab of raw meat appear using my domain skill and cooked it.

I then gave it to him an when he's saw it he said "Wow that sure looks good." This only improved my mood and gave it to him to eat. He then took a bite and I thought for a second I saw stars in his eyes "This is amazing I guess you can judge a book by it's cover sometimes."

He then yelled for all his crew to hear "Boys were eating good tonight!" Then you could hear yells of happiness through the bar.

I guess I'll be working hard tonight I thought.
