87.5% BECOMING AN ANCESTOR / Chapter 62: First match

章 62: First match

Setting aside this inconceivable revelation about Scar having a son and trying to stop thinking about it, Alex decided to just kick off the competition.

"Aurelio, it's your turn, don't forget what I taught you," Alex said to Aurelio.

"Yes, boss!" Aurelio replied.

Aurelio hurried into the makeshift arena to face his opponent.

As Aurelio stepped into the arena, Alex sat down on the throne beside Scar.

"So, who will be your champion?" Alex asked.

"Snow, you'll handle him," Scar said.

"Yes," Snow replied, indifferent to the situation.

Descending into the arena, Snow looked Aurelio up and down.

"You'd better give up; I might not be able to hold back," Snow taunted.

Annoyed by his opponent's comment, Aurelio responded with silence, merely assuming a battle stance and staring fixedly at Snow.

"Hmph, arrogance, nothing more than a child's folly, but don't worry, I'll try not to hurt you... too much," Snow said.

As the two opponents, Aurelio and Snow, awaited the signal to begin, Alex and Scar were discussing the rules.

"I don't want there to be any deaths, so if it gets too dangerous, I think we should intervene. What do you think?" Scar asked.

"Uhmm, I agree, and now that I know Aurelio's opponent is your son, I don't want you blaming me for any accidents," Alex said.

"Blame you? Shouldn't it be me saying that? Isn't your chosen one too young for this? How old is he, 15, 16?" Scar asked.

"Hahaha, you underestimate the boy greatly. Besides, he has a trick up his sleeve that you'll soon see," Alex said.

Approaching the center, the referee asked if both were ready.

"Are you ready!?" the referee called out.

"Yes!" Aurelio replied.

"Let's get this over with," Snow said.

Looking to Alex and Scar, the referee waited for both to signal to begin. With their consent, the referee finally started the fight.

"The rules are as follows: no weapons, only hands. The loser is whoever becomes unconscious or surrenders. Begin!" the referee announced.

As the battle between Aurelio and Snow began, both sides started cheering for their respective combatants.

"Aurelio, finish him!" one of Alex's men shouted.

"Finish off this kid quickly, Snow!" someone from Scar's tribe yelled.

The two finally clashed.

Aurelio was at a disadvantage due to Snow's immense strength, but Snow also noticed that Aurelio was much faster than him.

"You're not bad at all, but still, you can't beat me. Don't tell me your boss decided to sacrifice this round?" Snow sneered sarcastically at Aurelio while smiling.

"My boss doesn't intend to sacrifice me, and today must be your lucky day; you'll be the first to experience what my boss taught me!" Aurelio said confidently to Snow, showing a determined face with no signs of worry.

Even in a situation where he would normally be unable to win, Aurelio still had complete faith in what Alex had taught him.

As the battle unfolded, Alex and Scar conversed.

Watching the two fight, Scar alerted Alex, "Uhmm, your champion is indeed faster than my son, but that alone won't win him the fight. To me, that's his limit; it's already impressive that he hasn't lost in one attack," Scar said to Alex.

"Hahaha, I told you that you underestimated my champion, but even after he exceeds your original expectations, you're still underestimating him. He hasn't shown anything yet," Alex said to Scar.

"Just keep watching; he'll show us something really interesting soon," Alex said.

With neither gaining an advantage, Snow began to take Aurelio seriously.

"I don't care how agile you are; enough of playing around. I don't care about your age anymore; you'll know your place now, kid!"

Snow suddenly changed his attack strategy, becoming more aggressive. As a result, Aurelio began to have more difficulty dodging the attacks.

"You're not the only one who can change how they attack; now it's my turn. Not even Mr. Martins could defeat me with this," Aurelio said.

Taking a certain distance, Aurelio assumed a fighting stance, slightly leaning his body and raising his right hand to head height and his left hand to chest height in guard, separating his feet a little, and staring fixedly at Snow.

"Is that... a boxing stance? Did you teach boxing to an Australoputhecos?" Scar asked.

"It's Australopithecus, and yes and no, it wasn't boxing that I taught; it was... tai chi," Alex replied.

With a slight smile on his face, he added, "At least, something similar to it," Alex said.
