"Come here bitch, I ain't afraid of yo ass!" Alex yelled out while throwing tombstones at the final boss, angering it greatly as Alex kept running away.
As expected of an entire graveyard-themed world, the final boss was an undead-type monster. It appeared as a helmetless skeleton with glowing red eyes, clad in a full set of black, rusty armor and wielding a broken and very weathered bastard sword.
Alone against the boss, Alex faced a relentless onslaught of skeletons emerging endlessly from the ground. The boss wielded the power to revive fallen skeletons, overwhelming Alex whenever he couldn't keep the boss occupied.
Despite the relentless onslaught and the boss's ability to resurrect its minions, Alex's side maintained the upper hand. The spawned skeletons were of the ordinary variety, easily handled by Alex's forces, allowing him to focus on confronting the boss directly. Assigning Ethan to protect the little girl, Alex was able to engage in combat without distraction, knowing that she was safe under Ethan's watchful eye. With his dungeon beasts effectively managing the horde, Alex could mostly concentrate his efforts on fighting the boss.
Despite his best efforts, Alex found himself struggling to effectively engage the boss in combat. His offensive spellcasting abilities were terrible, as he couldn't utilize offensive spells from a distance. Additionally, his [Wind Cutter] spell, while able to momentarily push the boss back, lacked the necessary power to inflict significant damage. As a result, the boss remained largely unharmed.
Since the boss was also using a sword that it was clearly skilled in using, Alex couldn't even get close to him unless he wanted to get cut down. So other than manipulating mana in his body to see if there was some sort of effect, as he still hadn't tested what else he could do. Alex had to throw stuff.
Thankfully, there were random rusted weapons lying around. Still, even though he never used a sword before, he attempted to wield half of a claymore to fight the boss. However, the boss's strength and bastard sword proved too much for the shitty weapon, quickly shattering the claymore in one strike and leaving Alex disarmed once again.
However, he managed to inflict a good amount of damage on the boss when he seized a spear in moderately good condition. An injected a substantial amount of fire mana into the weapon, and it began to glow a dark red hue, with crimson lines gradually coursing through its length.
Focusing his fire mana into the spear, Alex sensed a growing intensity within it. The weapon began to undergo a dramatic transformation, its form expanding as dark crimson lines snaked across its surface, threatening to burst open at any moment. The air around it crackled with flames as the spear appeared on the verge of exploding, imbued with a volatile power waiting to be unleashed.
As the spear hurtled through the air toward the boss, its vibrating intensity increasing with each passing moment, Alex focused all his strength on the throw. The boss, recognizing the threat, attempted to deflect the spear with its bastard sword. However, the explosive force contained within the spear proved too much for the boss to counter.
Aware of the growing danger posed by the fire-infused spear hurtling towards it, the boss quickly assessed its options. Recognizing that directly confronting the spear head-on would be too risky, it attempted to evade the imminent explosion by shifting its position, hoping to mitigate the damage by allowing its armor and sword to absorb the brunt of the impact. However, despite its efforts to evade, the boss was unable to react in time to Alex's intensified throw, leaving it vulnerable to the explosive force of the spear's detonation.
With barely a second elapsed since Alex unleashed the spear, a massive explosion erupted as the structure of the weapon was obliterated. The stored fire element within the spear was suddenly released in a quick but devastating burst, engulfing the surrounding area in a fiery inferno. The detonation unleashed a wave of destructive energy, unleashing the full force of the fire mana stored within the spear in a single, devastating eruption.
As the smoke cleared, revealing the aftermath of the explosion, the once formidable boss stood in a severely damaged state. Its lower limbs and arms lay torn asunder, destroyed by the devastating blast. Only its head and torso remained intact, albeit protected by a heavily cracked chest plate, a testament to the destructive power unleashed by Alex's fire-infused spear.
It was only alive thanks to it being a skeleton and it quickly used its minuscule amount of mana to protect its mana core when Alex threw the spear. Still, Alex just smiled when he saw the aftermath, well he couldn't physically smile as his head was a skull, but he mentally smiled. So he walked up to the boss and lifted it up by the chest plate.
"You were tough but easy to kill, Still thanks for the fight." With a mental smile, as he enjoyed the battle, Alex put both his hands around the boss's skull and slowly crushed it. The skeleton's head groaned in pain but it didn't suffer for long as its mana core landed in Alex's hand.

As Alex's smile widened upon reaching level 10, he wanted to use his new tokens, but he knew there was still work to be done. Despite his victory over the boss, the dungeon quest remained incomplete until he located the dungeon core. Anticipating the challenging task ahead, Alex braced himself for the next phase of the dungeon exploration: finding that damn dungeon core that lay hidden somewhere on the final floor.
Thankfully, it was quite easy to find dungeon cores as they were clearly found in important or special-looking buildings. The problem, in this case, Alex found himself confronted with a multitude of tombs, graves, and other imposing edifices, each seemingly holding its own significance. Amidst this array of important-looking structures, the challenge lay in discerning which one housed the dungeon core.
Thankfully, with the death of the Revenant Knight, aka the final boss, all of the mobs died with it. So it was just Alex, Ethan, the little demon girl, and the rest of his dungeon beasts that hadn't died.
And thankfully after searching for around 30 minutes, Absol, the new name for his Fjordhawk. Was able to find the dungeon core after it flew far away from Alex's group. The dungeon core was located in the trunk of a massive rotting tree that was miles away from anyone.
Yeah, in the area where Alex was standing, it's possible to see the only massive tree on this floor, however, due to the fact that there were a shit ton of tombs and other important-looking buildings, it was going to take a while before they even got to that damn tree.
With Absol's agility and precision, retrieving the dungeon core proved to be a straightforward task. Despite a feeble attempt at resistance with weak magical attacks, the dungeon core lacked the strength to mount any significant defense.
As Absol swiftly closed in, the dungeon core mana was depleted, leaving it vulnerable to Absol's grasp. With a deft swoop of its talons, Absol seized the core, securing it with ease and effectively bringing an end to the dungeon quest once the dungeon core landed on Alex's hand.

Alex smiled contentedly as he saw the completion of this quest. Recalling his past, he cherished the joy he found in undertaking challenges, no matter their difficulty or annoyance. In his previous life, he had dedicated himself to completing every quest and conquering every challenge presented in games he had.
Other than working out and studying, he at least spent more than 4 hours each day gaming. So he had plenty of time to do whatever he wanted.
Still, just like in the last dungeon he conquered an option to absorb or control the dungeon core appeared in front of him. And just like last time, he picks the second option. As something that he learned from reading the dungeon manual, was that a way to increase your dungeon floor strength was to place other dungeon cores or other beings to act as the floor overseer.
Something that was only special to his dungeon, thanks to his system, was that he could in fact do anything he wanted for his dungeon. He could enact certain rules, place impossible puzzles, and create his own template with his own created mobs and bosses.
The only problem was that everything he wanted to do, required materials and some sort of energy to help in the creation process. Another cool thing that he could do now that he made a dungeon, was being able to create more bodies for himself and being able to create dungeon entrances anywhere.
There was still a lot more he could do, but those options were still blurred out in the dungeon manual. There was also some sort of a limiter placed on him. But as he was about to ask Alexa a question about the limiter, a notification popped up.
(<DING> ??? divine protection has ended. ??? will no longer hide or help the host.
[??? Final Message] - Good luck kid, I'm going to do something that I should have done a very long time ago. As for my final goodbye, I'm giving something very special to you. No matter what happens now, you're now unbounded. Still, you are going to have to work hard for it. no easy shortcuts you little shit.
)
Before Alex could even process whoever sent the message, the world around him turned gray, before turning pitch black. A second later, an indescribable pain obliterated his entire being.
He experienced the sensation of his entire being, not just his body, but his very soul, shattering into innumerable fragments. To an observer endowed with the ability to perceive souls, all they would witness emanating from Alex would be the continuous fracturing of his essence, with a luminous red thread, as thin as an ant, gradually becoming visible as it fought something to reunite the shattered pieces of his soul.
This string however looks as if it was on its last thread. And this was true as each time Alex's soul fractured into millions of little pieces, an all-powerful yet foreign divine aura emanated from his body.
Be it from his system or ???, the divine aura slowly wrapped around the red thread and Alex's soul pieces. Although the divine aura appeared to be trying to absorb both Alex and the red thread.
Only part of this was true, as whether seconds, days, months, years, or eons have passed. Alex was already broken as the pain seemed to worsen with each cycle, something was very different with his soul.
Despite the absorption of the once-encompassing red thread by the foreign aura, the cycle of destruction persisted. Yet, rather than the aura attempting to replicate its assimilation with Alex, it underwent a transformation. Gradually, it metamorphosed into a golden string, while extending towards each fragment of Alex's soul with an intent to connect them all.
This continues until Alex was finally back together, well he isn't actually back to his real self, he looks more like a blob instead of a human soul. Still, the golden string formed a cocoon around Alex and slowly shrunk until it reached the size of a quark.
For only the system knowing how long this process took, the little quark-sized cocoon slowly cracked until a new massive soul, a soul bigger than stars, burst out and let out an aura that could cause space to crack, slowly it began to condense itself.
It only stopped condensing when it reached the size of a baseball. When that process was done, the system, with newly given authority by ???, the one that helped oversee the entire process of evolution. Placed ungodly amounts of cosmic-level seals all over and inside Alex's soul.
With its last remaining authority by ???, the system erased this entire event from Alex's mind and sent him back to reality.

When I was reading other novels, I realized that I wanted to do something different for this story. Though this novel wasn't just going to be Alex getting super OP in the matter of chapters like other fan fics, after reading waaaaaaayyyyyyy better stories, compared to mine, that are posted on web novels. Imma take some inspiration and try to improve this story.
MEANING, I'm going to try and make conversation and reactions between characters better while fleshing out my character. And giving better descriptions of whatever is being explained.
So thanks for reading and comment on any changes I should make or fix.
