章 31: Jax's Shocking Reveal (1)
After what seemed like ages, his mother comes into the room, gives him a huge hug and says, "It's your time to shine my son, are you ready? Are you really sure you want to reveal your potential and affinity? We can come up with something else."
"No, it's fine mother. I'm fully prepared and I know what I'm about to do means for us. After today everybody will know I'm special and many will try to take advantage of that. Fear not mother, I will not allow myself to be used." replies Jax
Sarah looks proudly at her son and says, "Me and your Father are so very proud of you, but we can't help but worry about what's to come after today's events. We trust your judgement, even if we don't necessarily agree with this choice of action, so just remember we are always here to look after and guide you in this life, and we love you."
"I know you and father will be here for me mother and I love you both as well. I want to thank you both for the many lessons and knowledge you both have imparted to me over the years, and I will remember them for the rest of this life. I also realize that I am only sixteen years old in this life, but I do have another 20+ years of life experience from my past life, so I believe it's time for me to stand on my own and face the challenges this life will throw at me." says Jax
"You need not thank us my son, for it is our duty as parents to educate and raise you to be a fine young man. If you're ready, His Majesty, the young Lady Alice and the rest of the royals and townspeople are waiting for you outside. I will be waiting with your father." replies Sarah happily.
"Okay I will be right out; I just want to check with Thorn about what changes might or might not occur with the system during the ceremony. I believe I will pass an age lock, and want to be prepared for any surprises, it shouldn't take but a few minutes." replies Jax after some thought.
'Thorn, do you have any information about what might happen with this ceremony, and can you show me my current stats please?' asks Jax in his mind.
"I am certain you will pass an age lock after the ceremony and other than unlocking a new level of the system, I have no clue what else might occur. I have yet to gain any more access to any of the systems locked information either."

"Haha, you got to admit doing the same tasks and quests for the last few years has gotten pretty boring and monotonous, and I knew my stats probably hadn't changed but I like seeing my progress even if it's only a little bit at a time." replies Jax with a sly smile.
"I think you just like annoying me every chance you get, but enough of this you need to go and get this ceremony over with before the King and the people get annoyed with waiting on you, you also shouldn't keep the young Lady Alice waiting either, she might wind up changing her mind about you." said Thorn sternly
"I honestly don't think that's even remotely possible but you're right, let's get this show on the road." replies Jax
With their discussion over, Jax leaves his room and begins making his way to the town's plaza where the King, royals and everyone else is waiting. Even though his heart and mind are calm about his decision to show everyone his potential, he also can't help but be nervous as well. He can't help but wonder how the King and the other royals will react to the shocking reveal of his potential.
'I hope this doesn't cause any major problems with the other royals.' he thinks to himself.
Just as he arrives at the town plaza, he sees the last little bit of another young person's test and is shocked to see they have a Black rank potential and a beast affinity with a legendary phoenix.

Dbzplayer86 Hello readers, I want to apologize for not uploading any chaps for a long time now. I've been through a lot the last two years with dealing with a divorce. I went through a period of deep depression and just didn't have any motivation to keep writing. I'm not 100% back to being happy with my current life but it pains me that I've let my book go for so long without any new chapters. I want to finish this book even if it doesn't get much traction or becomes a hot topic on the app, I just want to be able to finish what I started so I can at least be proud of myself and my work. I'm currently working on the next couple chapters and will upload them as soon as they're ready. Again, I'm sorry for the long delay in this book but I will be working on putting out at least one or two chapters a week. I also want to thank everyone who gave me stones before and everyone who has collected the book, it means the world to me that there are people who like this book and are willing to read my work.
