章 14: The necklace
Lyra regained her consciousness slowly, she opened her eyes slowly and found herself in an unfamiliar yet familiar room, she wondered if she had gone back to her world.
The room isn't as grand as her room in the palace but it does look like an ancient room.
'Was I kidnapped,' she wondered as she stood up from the bed, getting more familiar with her surrounding Incase she was kidnapped.
Lady Elara came into the room and saw that she was awake, she quickly ran to her and hugged her. "I am glad, you are ok."
"Yeah, but where is this place, this is not the palace … oh don't tell me we are kidnapped."
Lady Elara smiled as she watched Lyra assume things.
"No we are not, but Your Highness, do you remember the last thing you had before fainting?" Lady Elara asked with a wink of hope.
Lyra frowned and touched her forehead. "I don't know, I just found the tea there and I drank it, I thought it was you that put it there."
"You should not just drink anything you find on the desk, do you know you almost lost your life because of that!!" Lady Elara yelled at her for the first time and she was surprised.
"What do you mean, I am not some detective, so how am I supposed to know that you did not put it there, and I am not also from this wor….." she paused half way through her word and covered her mouth for a second before continuing. "Go and prepare my bathtub right now," she ordered.
Lady Elara bit her lip and bow, before leaving.
Lyra was so worried that she would get something out of her and then she would be chased out, she didn't even know where she is, and why she is here at all, and nobody is telling her anything.
Angel Alice comes into the room after Lady Elara leaves. "What's wrong, did you purposely drink the tea so you can die?" She asked as she folded her arms.
Lyra looked up at her and sighed. "No, I mean who will want to die, I just want to know who is after my life and why they want me dead," she said as she touched her forehead nervously.
Angel Alice observed her expression for a while and nodded, see pointed at her necklace. "What's that?"
"A necklace, I found it in my drawer and I found it beautiful so I started to wear it. I must have cherished it so much before for me to fall in love with it again" she explained.
"Ok, you should take a bath and come and meet me at the mountain later, make sure you wear something comfortable you won't be needing your heavenly clothes here," Angel Alice said before walking out of the room.
Lyra stood there stunned not knowing what to say, she has a lot of questions right now which nobody is ready to give her any answers.
Lyra came out of her room with Lady Elara after changing into a comfortable gown that held her body perfectly which would make it comfortable for her to practice sword fighting.
"Oh you are here, I thought that you are going to come alone," Angel Alice said looking at Lady Elara that was standing behind her.
"I bring snacks, Your Highness is still not perfectly fine so I have to keep a close eye on her, so that I can report to His Highness," Lady Elara replied while narrowing her eyes.
"Ok that's fine, pick up the sword," she instructed before Lyra picked up the sword and frowned when she felt like it was familiar, especially the sword that she was holding.
"Whose sword is this?" She asked.
"It belongs to you. Do you remember anything while holding it?" Angel Alice asked, she noticed her expression earlier when she held the sword.
"No, it's just ... don't worry about it let's start," she stared at ege sword. "So, how am I going to use this thing? It looks scary."
"Just follow my instructions and you will be good, and also stop asking questions, Your Highness, just think ok," Angel Alice said before attacking her without notice and surprisingly Lyra was able to dodge her attack even though it was sudden.
"Wow, just as I expected, but you are weak. Ok now attack me," she ordered before closing her eyes waiting for her attack. As she expected she attacked the same way princess Lyra will attack so that means she is still princess Lyra even though her attack is weak.
Angel Alice attacked her back and she continued to dodge her attacks until she fell on the floor and her hand was bleeding. She threw the sword away but Angel Alice did not stop to attack her, but her attack was even stronger and full of energy.
Lyra manages to escape it each time but she always gets hurt and she becomes weaker and weaker with the strong energy in Angel Alice attack.
"Stop, she is going to get hurt, do you want to kill Your Highness!!" Lady Elara yelled as she got in front of her to take the attack for her but Lyra quickly pulled her away and the sword cut her back leaving a deep wound.
"Ahh!!" She screamed as she fell on the floor spilling blood.
"Princess Lyra!!" Lady Elara yelled as she quickly hugged her before she could fall down, she kept on screaming her name as Angel Alice carried her back to the room on her back, she did not expect Lady Elara to get in her way which makes her, to end up hurting Lyra.
"What is she ok, use your healing power we need to save her!!" Lady Elara yelled at her.
"No, I can't save her because I was the one that hurt her, so we will have to wait for her to heal by herself. Go and bring a fresh towel," she ordered before Lady Elara left immediately and Angel Eric came into the room.
"What exactly happened, you don't want to get into trouble with His Highness," he warned.
"Don't worry she will be fine," she said before taking off the necklace. "She just have to heal by herself and i think that this necklace is blocking the energy in her to release, let's just see what will happen now," she said as she tap on his shoulder and leave him to watch her while she examine the necklace.
