~Boooom~ The ground shook beneath their feet as Captain Ruger, Garciel, and the sixty-eight elite fighters hastily retreated from the blast radius.

Garciel's ears rang from the deafening explosion, his eyes wide with shock. 'What kind of a weapon was that?!' He thought as he stared at captain Ruger with wide open eyes.

As they distanced themselves from the impact zone, they turned back to witness the aftermath.

The massive tree, once the spider's perch, was now a splintered, smoldering ruin, its fragments scattered across the forest floor.

Captain Ruger's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on the billowing smoke.

"Do you think it's dead?" a fighter asked, his voice laced with hope. The others looked on, their eyes sparkling with anticipation. Oh, how wonderful it would be if the beast had met its demise in that blast.

But fate had other plans.
