VALENCIA'S POV

I didn't know what to say to him anymore. And thus, I let silence stay between us for some time.

With a sigh, I stood from my place with closed eyes. 

'What are you planning to do?' Aurora asked me after some time, and I shrugged.

What was I planning? I was planning to tell Maverick everything about my identity—not today, when he was already sad, but after this Meeting, for sure. 

I didn't want to let his feelings grow more vital for me without knowing what he was getting into. Not everyone is the same. There are good and bad people in every species and group. He would decide to accept me or not.

I would agree that he suffered a lot, and I wasn't the one who compared their situations, but he had the alpha position to take over when his family betrayed him, and he threw his brother out. But? I was left with the choice of leaving the pack only if I wanted to stay alive because I wasn't some high-position wolf.
