章 115: Only her

ALPHA MAVERICK'S POV

I waited for Carl to come out of the room.

It's been exactly 30 seconds since I placed Valencia on her bed and Carl closed the room, and I have been growing anxious ever since.

What was he doing inside the room? Why didn't he allow me to take her to the doctor? What was the deal with her? What did he mean he had an antidote for it? Was it serious? Was she suffering from some kind of discomfort that I didn't have any idea about?

Multiple thoughts were going inside my head.

'I know you are worried about her, Mav. I am too. But it's only 30 seconds. Can you call down a little?' Reaper said, and I scowled at him.

He knows nothing.

Seeing how one minute that should've been enough to give any antidote had passed, I was about to knock on the door to ask if everything was alright when the door was opened from inside and I looked at Carl, waiting for answers.
