As soon as Moon stepped into her cottage, she was used to tripping over things. Her ramshackle cottage was full of a multitude of things after all.
What she did not expect was pure silence. But as usual, Moon put on the best poker face she could muster and ushered Terra inside, and then quickly sorted through the mess that was thrown over the walls and floor to find a thick blanket.
"Here." She said to Terra, her speech clipped and short. Terra took it and sat next to the fireplace, which the water spirits had always hated (The reason was obvious, water and fire didn't mix) but still kept alive, simply for Moon's sake. Even though she didn't need it. It was odd. Taking her thoughts off the fireplace, Moon turned around.
Hadn't Venus been here at some point?
Moon assumed Terra would stay where she was and tip-toed across the room and opened the door. Venus was standing outside, his legs dangling over the cliff while salty sea air blew his red hair around.
"You worry me, Moon." Venus said, from in front of her, not turning around. Moon wasn't sure how to react to that - nor did she need to, apparently. She simply sat down next to Venus, about half a foot apart, and stared out at the blue mass that they called the ocean.
"Why did you go all alone? And not even tell me? Am I that forgettable?" Venus said, still not looking at her. Moon swallowed.
Uh. He kinda was. But that was… rude?
"You're not forgettable." Moon said, even though she wasn't so sure of the fact herself.
Venus seemed to realize this and slowly got up.
"It doesn't matter. Just… be safe, Moon."
