Long Cheng felt like he needed to already be preparing himself for the fact that she would not be the typical wife a dragon shifter would get. It was not a big deal but it was still something that he needed to realize sooner. 

Regardless, Long Cheng felt better hearing that he was needed. 

That was exactly the reason why, when Lu Meili asked for her things, he immediately felt annoyed for not being able to provide them because he was not allowed to bring them.

"I am sorry… Let me make a special request to the king later. It is best if you were approved of house arrest instead." He offered sounding dejected.
