Jack returned as promised an hour later, this time in his human form. He took a quick shower before joining the rest of us for breakfast. Chris and Pax returned too, and this time Pax’s fascination was fixated on a snow globe of the Eiffel Tower.

Glad she was picking up new hobbies…

“When you leave here,” Chris asked, as we ate (he drank – and no! I was still going to imagine it was red wine. I wasn’t quite ready for that yet…) “What’s the plan?”

“To get to Cedar Point,” Jack said, eating slowly as always to avoid the pain that accompanied using his jaws. “Get transportation from there.”
