章 5: Chapter 5: Book of Cultivation
Hearing this all three of them took their position and positioned themselves around Alex in the shape of a triangle with Alex being in the center of the said triangle.
Anyone who dares to trespass into this triangle will be given the promised death by the three strongest Shadows of our new Shadow God.
Narrator's POV
"I feel like a damn princess who's being protected by her bodyguards."
Saying so, Alex sat cross-legged on a stone platform with anticipation.
He quickly summoned the system panel and directly went to the inventory.
There it was, a card with a golden color, shining in all it's glory.
Alex clicked on the card and the card instantly materialized into his palm.
Without any delay, Alex crushed it and the card slowly withered into small golden particles and then the particles merged themselves and formed a book. The book was floating in mid air and was like a new hardcover edition that was just sent out after manufacturing.
Alex grabbed the book and opened the book. As soon as Alex opened the book, a golden light came from the first page of the book, so bright that Alex had to squint his eyes to escape the blinding light.
The light then dimmed and continued dimming till it was fully gone. On the page, there were a few words written,
"You now have freedom over your fate."
While the word freedom might sound a bit lacking but in many immortal cultivation or mana cultivation universes this is what the strongest forces like to have.
The moment he first went through it, was the moment his existence was freed from the fate set up for this universe by certain woman who sacrificed her own existence so that many living beings flourish.
The woman was the first being to ever exist and found out that due to her existence life couldn't flourish. So, she sacrificed her own life and became a spirit in the world who was like the will of the universe, while able to control the world but not fully as seen with the Abyss of Darkness.
Her thousandth reincarnation even messed up this more by sacrificing her powers to make her nephew or basically crush the protagonist of the world, when she was supposed to be the one.
Thus, leading to Yun Che becoming the protagonist of this verse, and rising from the situations where he should have died mercilessly. But, rather than dying, he became more and more stronger, strong enough to run amok in the Realm of God's and messing with people who were revered as Gods by even cultivators of Divine King Realm.
That's how strong of a plot armor Yun Che had.
Alex's POV
You now have freedom over your fate.
"Freedom over my fate huh? So, basically I won't be affected by the stupid cliche events set up by that simp of a Goddess?. That's cool, basically the thing I needed at this moment, lest I was killed by the protagonist." I spoke with a grave look on my face.
All of a sudden, the grave look turned to a smirk, as I spoke, "Bah!, who am I kidding! If I were to die even with all of my cheats then I am a stain on the name of all my fellow protagonists."
"Hmm. Let's check the other pages of this book. From it's name and description, it basically sounds like a guide to different aspects of cultivation."
I flipped the page, and on the next page there was an Index.
"Hmm. It actually is like a normal book, giving the index and everything"
I start to read the table of contents of the book, and holy fucKING SHIT!!!!!.
This is Crazy!!
"I take my words back, this book is nothing but normal. This might be more broken than the Shadow Mon-- oopsie, Shadow God's powers."
The index contained of: Alchemy, Array Formations, Artifact Refining, Divine Techniques, Medicinal Knowledge. and lastly, General Knowledge.
I know that it doesn't sound that crazy, but what's crazy about this is that, at the bottom of the page, some text is written:
The information about the above topics written above surpasses that of your current world. If you were to put it according to the effects of this knowledge on the cultivation levels, then they would be effective for a being who is at least 3 major realms above the Ancestral God Realm of this world.
The number of pages is book is infinite, all you need to think is about a topic from the above list and the book will display all the information related to that. The information is divided according to the realms of cultivation of this world, with the only exception being the Divine Techniques, as they are only divided according to their grade.
"Damn, I am gonna so fucking enjoy this life. I will utilize my cheats to the utter max for my own benefits. To hell with the mental restrictions of my previous lives, I am gonna live this life according to my own terms. If even with all these cheats, I don't enjoy myself, then I am probably the most boring person alive."
"I will have a harem of the main heroines. Wait a minute, I ain't the original protagonist, so why only the heroines, I will take the villainesses into my harem as well. I need to have some limit too, as I can't have a harem like I am farming pokemons in a game. Fuck what I said, I will marry whom I like, whether heroines, villainesses or side characters, that doesn't matter."
"I don't wanna force anyone though. But using a bit of manipulation and the resources at my beck and call to make them agree ain't bad. Hehe, as long as I am given a chance, I can make them all fall for me. Hmm, it's decided then, Women, wealth and fulfilling my chunnibyou dreams is gonna be the aim of this life of mine."
"Damn, even without power I am getting corrupted. Hehe, But I like this."
Saying all the above crap, I started to give my evil laugh,
"MUHAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!! "
Little did I know or basically I didn't remember that there were three beings who were hearing all of my nonsense with a drop of sweat on their heads.
