章 2: Chapter 2: Experiments
After acknowledging the way that its bond worked, there was another connection between itself. Or rather, was linked between its partner and itself with the person it came to realize that it was inside. Disregarding all of this knowledge and keeping it in memory, the little soul continued its study. Eventually learning that using its energy to pass through its orb, the nature of the energy changed, this however caused a lot of pain, even its partner felt it as the little soul could hear its cries through their link. Its once peaceful home also trembled and the one supplying it with energy to grow was in a deep sense of pain.
Eventually, there was a huge wave of energy that cleansed the energy the little soul produced and expelled it, realizing that the energy it made didn't affect it and its partner, but rather the person it was inside of. Taking this into account, he made a vow, something that must be held true, that he would not delve into another practice of its kind until later. Falling into a deep sleep and not awakening for a while.
Outside World
A huge surge of pain enveloped the mother of the little soul as it was sudden. Dropping her staff in the middle of a fight against a pack of Common Wolves. Although the wolves were E-Rank in overall strength, to the pregnant woman who was much stronger than them, it would pose a huge danger to her in the condition she was in. Aaron: "Mother, what's going on", said the young boy who was practicing his combat against the wolves, as he started to get pushed back without his mother's support. Saffiyah, the mother of the two souls inside and the young boy, was extremely out of breath due to the pain, lowering her mana control to a dangerously low level when not only trying to protect herself but also her kid.
Saffiyah knew of the danger of the current situation and told Aaron to stay near her, sending down a lightning bolt on the wolf her child was facing. Aaron immediately dashed back to his mothers side, his starter spear at the ready. All of a sudden, a glowing being in the shape of a cat appeared from Saffiyahs shadow, Shiny: "I'll hold back the wolves, Saffiyah, cleanse your body of that energy". Saffiyah: "Alright", immediately taking a meditative sitting position and focusing almost all of her energy to expel the deadly energy.
Shiny: "Aaron, stay behind me and protect your mom", Aaron nodded and prepared his spear, Shiny immediately started glowing. Some energy from Saffiyah left her body in a stream of mana making a small bubble on shiny, the bubble turned into different colors making smaller bubbles of condensed mana. Suddenly, the aura of a stronger monster started to shroud the area, the energy was much more sinister compared to the blood hungry wolves that surrounded them. The wolves all of a sudden started backing up, their fur started changing to a dark red and purple as their bodies started to deform a bit.
A loud howl erupted behind the wolves as the forest started rustling with trees starting to fall over as the nearby ground started to tremble. A gigantic deformed dark red and purple wolf appeared and immediately dense spears of dense tainted mana were sent flying to the trio. Shiny got a deep gash from the attack before being able to react, making a wall of water then freezing it, blocking the rest of the spears, however the temporary barrier was being chipped and destroyed at a rapid pace to where it won't be able to survive another attack. In retaliation, Shiny threw a flurry of colors that took the form of swords, using the element of light as a base and coating each sword with different elements. This managed to take out the rest of the wolves but the wolf leader blocked using the same energy as earlier.
Shiny: "No more mana, and not even a scratch on that thing, and Saffiyah is using most of her mana expelling that small shroud of energy in her." Aaron made a dash in front of Shiny, small streams of a crimson red liquid formed over his spear, dashing straight to the wolf, while the dark barrier was still up, Aaron used this opportunity as the wall was slowly brought down and making an ominous mist around the wolf. With a swift stab, Aaron managed to connect his attack with the wolf's lower jaw, easily penetrating and all the energy accumulated around his spear gushed out down the wolf's throat. Aaron dashed back as the huge stream of liquid expanded into a spiky ball within the wolf, making the wolf look like a porcupine for a short bit.
The wolf faced the air and opened its mouth, a dark flame breath of its energy expelled the crimson liquid as it stared back at Aaron, looking deep into his eyes, scaring the young boy. A sudden shift in aura happened as pure black energy was expelled around Saffiyah, Shiny sensed this and controlled the energy to make a sphere, even such a basic shape was hard to control for Shiny as she sent it flying towards the wolf. The wolf sensed this anomaly of mana and turned to run as the sphere was right on its tail. Using its movement skill, it easily escaped a huge distance away, turning around and making its own condensed sphere of energy, after a couple of seconds the wolfs sphere exploded, making a dark red and purple line of tainted mana as it met the black sphere head on, the black sphere started changing the tainted mana into a weaker form and eventually the clash was ended, the black sphere just a couple feet away from the wolf who was trying to push it back, crushed the wolf into a pulp.
Due to the amount of energy used, the black sphere dissipated, leaving behind a puddle of blood that turned into vapor within seconds, leaving behind a dark red and purple crystal. Saffiyah passed out once she expelled the energy, due to this shiny with the last bit of strength and fighting against sleep made that sphere and fainted as well. The only witness was Aaron, he went over to the crystal and picked it up, running back to his mother as Shiny went back into Saffiyah. Aaron picked up his mother in a princess carry and rushed back to the village.
章 3: Chapter 3: Mana Gains
The little soul woke up after quite a bit of time, when it woke up it noticed the huge changes to itself and partner, they had both taken a different form, with a more detailed figure, although the little soul looked much much different compared to its partner. Having a dark ashy skin with black marks all around making unique patterns, its energy was much stronger and it had much more mana within itself. Looking deep within, the once really small orb was much bigger, and had taken an ominous dark aura that looked like a solar eclipse.
It noticed something else, there was a small orb the same size as the initial size of the dark orb. It played around with both the orbs for a bit, on instinct it swatted the orb with its tail. Not having noticed its tail before, it played around with it, moving it as it was natural. Getting bored, it stared deep into its ability orb, studying the way it moved. Wondering what this small space was, it noticed that the way the energy here moved was the same way as when it watched its mana pool. Realizing that this was its energy pool, it streamed a small thin thread of energy that went into and out the orb, changing its attributes and taking on a more ominous aura, however knowing the danger of this energy, it willed for the attributes to disipate.
Noticing how easy it was to manipulate the energy within its mana pool, it checked back outside to see if there were any changes, noticing that the action did not affect the outside world, it concluded that its energy only affects the surroundings when its mana leaves its body. Going back into its mana pool, it continued to play with the energy, making all sorts of shapes and sizes while controlling its power. After all its mana was used the size of the two orbs grew and a couple new ones appeared. Continuing to play with the orbs, it noticed how its mana pool was in constant circulation, watching as new clouds of mana were produced. After expending all of its mana and it being produced by its mana pool, it noticed that the amount of energy was much bigger.
Wanting to experiment more, it constantly played with the attribute orb and repeated the cycle of burning through all of its energy and waiting for it to refill. After about 10 or so cycles, its mana pool was much bigger and denser while the once small orbs became even bigger, two more orbs appeared that did not lose out to the others in size. One of the orbs made it so that he could manifest all kinds of shapes, even being able to coat those constructs with its attributes. Feeling very tired, the little soul went to sleep, not noticing that as it stayed in its mana pool, the walls would stay in constant circulation that was much faster then when it was outside of the pool, increasing the amount of energy that was storable.
