章 32: 32. The Imperial Academy (TIA)
"This does not concern you"
The huge man said after scrutinizing me, or would I say appraise as he continue shouting at the young fella infront of him
|... It's times like this that make me happy being more mature than my age supposed... |
"please sir maybe I can offer some assistance"
"oh? And which assistance would you be able to offer me"
He turned finally leaving the young lad alone and looking at me directly
"I don't suppose you would be able to pay for these damage that has been done to my cart? "
He pointed to his cart that wasn't really in a bad condition just got two of its wheels removed with the horse stuck in the mud
|... How did this HAPPEN? well first things first...|
"okay sir if that's what you wish"
I Said as I bowed down and began to ask for his forgiveness
"psst"
I called out to the boy who seemed to be the cause of this
"join mec
The boy quickly got down on his kneels and began to apologize too and we both said in unison
" please sir we are so SORRY!!! Please!!! "
The man continued to stare at us watching our every move closely after a few seconds the boy by my side spoke up
" sir I am sorry, I know it is my fault that your cart is in the mud right now, but I am very sorry I do not have any money to give you"
The man became a little bit pissed upon hearing that
"but if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know"
Upon hearing that the man became more relaxed
"it's okay, you too can get up"
We listened to him as we both stood on our feet
"you do know this is my means of livelihood and even I got a family, but still that doesn't warrant the means by which I reacted to you I too am sorry"
As he went back to his cart and began to see if there's anything he can do
I immediately went close to the cart brought out some tools from my bag which was mostly the only thing I carried and began to fix his wheel, the other kid began loading the goods which had fell but weren't in a completely bad state into the the cart (he was was perishable food seller)
And within 30 minutes we were done
"wow, you kids sure are something, thanks for the help"
He said as he threw two tomato to us
"for the road, also be more watchful were you go kid, some people won't be as benevolent as me, okay? "
He said as he was about to whip the donkey until
" wait hold up"
"sir?"
We both turned in unison
"mind if I give you a ride? "
We both turned to look at his cart, and instinctively agreed that it won't be the right choice now
" ok, suit yourselves, hiyaa!!! "
And like that, he was on his merry way
Without saying a word as soon as the man had the gone the curly brown haired by side and began walking away
"thanks"
He turned back and said
"no problemo"
"so? Where you heading? "
He asked as he continued down the path
" the Imperial Academy same as you, by the way aren't you gonna ask why I helped you out? "
I felt curious as to why he didn't ask
"you helped me, my asking would just make me seem ungrateful,can't be questioning the one who helped me can I? "
He chuckled
" you do know we are late right? "
The boy asked
"yeah, by the way what's your name? Mine's Ascimos "
"how rude of me, my name is Wallace"
"okay, wally"
"it's Wallace"
"oh, right"
I Said as I got back on my skateboard as I skated down the slopy hill
"by the way how late are we?"
I asked wanting to know if I would still be able to make it
"I would say if we continued walking we would be 10 mins late, but the school begins in 10 minutes"
He said having brought out his pocket watch
"that's great!!!, we can still make it"
" what do you mean? "
He asked
"just hold on tight and you will see"
I beckoned on him to get on the board
"is that thing safe?"
"sure it is, made it myself"
"that's the problem"
"come on, do you want to get to the academy early or not?"
"I do"
"then grab on"
I stretched out my hand towards his, hesitantly he grabbed my hand and held me as he entered the board
1 minute later
"haaaaa!!!!"
"I thought you said this was safe"
He screamed
"don't worry, I am a professional skateboarder"
I shouted as I was dodging the obstacles on our path
"what does that mean? "
He questioned
As soon as he asked we were right infront of the Imperial Academy with the gates about to close, but just few meters away from closing we zoom right past it, and crash landed into the front door
" Now you student's...."
*crash*
3 seconds later the man, wallace and me were on the floor in front of a large crowd in a huge hall
"it means I can't do stuffs like this with little to no injury.... Most of the time "
I confessed
"is it me or is it getting hot in here? "
Wallace said as he began to fan himself with his hand
" yeah it is"
We than turned back and sure a angry red haired man who looked like any second from now he was about to blow up
"you two....."
He said calmly and slowly as he whole body leaked out fire, real fire...
