Katie gave an excuse about her illness but she was looking completely fine so it was hard to believe that. In the end she promised to go to work the next day.

After all she has to fill her stomach too. If she wastes another day she might not be able to get necessary things for next month.

So the other day Katie went to work as usual.

"Ohh look who showed up," as soon as Katie stepped inside the kitchen, she heard a sarcastic comment from none other than our favourite Helga.

Katie looked at a girl standing not far away beside the stove.

Katie decided to ignore her as usual and walked towards the other end of the kitchen. She opened the cupboard and took out her apron. It was her duty to make breakfast for Mrs Ruthmore every morning.

She was also afraid that if the butler saw her arguing with anyone after skipping work for two days he would surely cut her salary which she couldn't afford. Nor Helga was important to sacrifice so much money.
