After one month, Tae found himself healthy again, but he could only felt the loneliness and emptiness inside of him, and he couldn't stop thinking about what happened, about the creepy smile on Marie's face.
His mind was foggy, and five questions kept hunting him every second.
'Was she happy with what happened?'
'Why did she smile like that?'
'Who were those people?'
'Why did they do that?'
'Where's Marie and Dawgreen now?'
Tae was grateful that the couple saved and treated him, but he didn't know anything about them, only their names: Karina and Lumiere.
The only thing they asked him was his name when he woke up until now, and he only told them his first name, always remembering what Marie told him every single day.
"Tae, listen to me carefully, you can't, ever, tell your full name to anyone. Doesn't matter who it is, even if the person is Dawgreen, you can't tell your name to anyone. Only the first one, if you found yourself in a situation where you have to tell the person your name. Do not forget this. Names carry enormous power in a person. Our world is like that. No matter what they tell you, even if they try to convince you, don't tell your name to anyone."
She always told him and told the same to Dawgreen.
That's why he and his brother only knows each other's first name.
On the other hand, Karina and Lumiere were dying with curiosity to know more about what happened, about what Marie did, about the kid she had taken with her, and about Tae's connection with them.
They're also kinda skeptical when they realize that the kid was smart enough to not tell his full name to them and they were convinced that Marie was the one who told the boy to be careful, and if she did that, it means that he isn't a nobody.
If he was a nobody, no way in hell Marie would care about the matter.
Also, his eyes were like anything they've seen before, it was in the color of a rainbow, and that was the most surprising thing about him up 'til now in their opinion, those eyes of him had a power in it, they couldn't tell what it was, but they felt it in their bones when their eyes met Taeyang's.
But Karina and Lumiere were sure that the kid didn't know about that, he was oblivious of the power he had, and the cause of his obliviousness was probably Marie, they knew those eyes couldn't belong to a normal kid from the Outside Zones, and with that, they were certain that or Taeyang was born in the tower, or his parents were, and from one of the seven families.
Lumiere and his wife couldn't tell with certainty from which of the seven families he had a connection with, once they have never been there because both of them and their ancestors were born outside that place, but they had enough knowledge to tell that, once they have a connection with Marie who's a high ranking inside of it, and they were also sympathizers of the revolution.
Yet, Marie never told them everything, like the details of each of the seven families, how they could recognize each of them and a lot of other little things, but she told them the most important thing about it, all the seven families have an innate amount of surya, huge to the point that you can feel it just being close to them or looking at their eyes.
And Taeyang's eyes emanate this innate and great power, becoming slightly intimidating, but if Marie took another child, it may mean that Taeyang is not the child of prophecy, but why leave him here?
Could it be that he could become a problem to her?
Another week passed and the kid was already healthy and recovered, and they couldn't hold their curiosity anymore, so they try talking to him, praying for the kid to be a kind and understanding one.
"Taeyang, can we talk?"
Lumiere asked carefully and he nodded.
"So, first of all, I think it would be good if we explain who we are."
"Yeah, I confess I'm curious about that."
Tae said gently and both Lumiere and Karina felt relieved by the child's calm.
"Were are friends of Marie, we know her since she came to the Outside Zones, eleven years ago. That's why we came to the orphanage, she also gave us weekly news about how she was doing and told us that we should go to her if we didn't receive news in more than fourteen days in a roll."
There was a mix of hope and sadness in the kid's intimidating eyes and he was clearly anxious.
"So you both are her friends? We're in the Lunar Zone now right? You said you know her since she came to the Outside Zones, do you know where she's from?"
They weren't surprised to know that Marie kept the information from him, but they were kinda sad for the kid, so Lumiere spoke first:
"Yes, yes, and yes. We are both friends with her. We are indeed in the Lunar Zone, that's where we've always been living. And we know where she's from. She's from the Star Tower."
Taeyang shivered when he heard 'Star Tower' and looked kinda scared.
"But the Tower isn't it a place full of monsters, ready to kill us all?"
"Who told you that?"
Karina asked confused.
"Marie."
'Of course,' she thought with her husband.
