Both seasoned knights pulled the claymore swords and combat shields from their backs and lowered the visors on the helmets, and like Christopher Kane's wings had appeared. 

Dante spotted the two angelic soldiers advancing on his position. He rallied all the demons he could summon, and they formed a ring of protection around the Count. He sneered at the angels. It was a dare, an invitation for them to come and get him.

The storeroom felt cramped and stuffy. Giselle hated being trapped here like this. It brought back unpleasant memories. She sat on the cold stone floor, and Deacon saw the look of unease on her face. He saw her brows knitted and lips pursed tight. her son was astute enough to see she was nervous. Deacon decided to try to console her.

"Mm-mum, are y-you okay?" The little boy stuttered with concern. 

He came to kneel in front of her, making Giselle's heart squeeze at the lovely boy who had just called her his mother.
