章 167: LAST LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS - PART 1

Startled awake by his dream, Kane sat up off the cot and listened to the sounds of blizzard winds howling and the window shutters outside the guardhouse clattering. 

In the middle of a stormy night like this, Lord Alexsander wished to be home with Giselle, making love to her and holding her as they slept. The idea of being away from his little family was difficult for Kane. They had become his universe. 

Besides worrying about Giselle, Kane wondered how his son was doing. He looked over to see the sleeping figure of Sir Collin on the other cot. There was a peaceful look on his face as he slept.
