"Come on, let's get on the ATV!" Rishabh said and had already proceeded running towards the ATV rental (All Terrain Vehicle) an open four-wheeled vehicle, which was widely available on the edge of Rishikesh Beach. Aunt Sangeeta also looks excited. Navya just found out that her brother and Aunt Sangeeta actually have one thing in common, they both like challenges.
"We rent four ATVs, right?" Rishabh asked to make sure.
"Ah.... I don't want to! I can't ride an ATV," Navya protested.
"Eh.... why do you have to rent four ATVs? Navya can ride with Mohit. What are you doing, Rishabh?" Auntie Sangeeta even put forward a suggestion that made Navya transfixed.
Finally Rishabh rented three ATVs. Navya sat behind Mohit.
"Are you ready? Hold on, Navya!" Mohit shouted, then he spurred their ATV, following Rishabh and Aunt Sangeeta's ATV which were already speeding in front of them.
As soon as Navya felt the shock and sway, she couldn't help but hugged Mohit's waist from behind. She could feel Mohit's tight and flat stomach muscles. "Duh, why is she so nervous?" Mohit thought in her mind.
Navya turned her attention to the scenery around her. The all-terrain vehicle crossed the sandbar without difficulty. Mohit continues to increase speed, it seems like he is already an expert at driving ATVs. Rishabh and Aunt Sangeeta also shouted loudly in front of them.
"You're not afraid, are you, Navya?" Mohit asked in a voice hardened. "Your hold on me is too tight, isn't it?" Mohit asked Navya.
"Uh.... no, Mohit" Navya replied.
"Okay... have fun!" Mohit continued again.
Seeing Mohit's smiling and radiant face made Navya happy too. It turns out that Mohit also likes challenges. He felt more relaxed. Only this time, she saw another side of Mohit. During this time, Mohit tends to be serious and busy with work. And they rarely enjoyed the time together like now.
They keep going and turning on the path that is already reserved for the ATV. Navya laughed out loud when she felt the sea breeze against her face. The South Sea looks stunning this afternoon. Every now and then big waves hit the beach, the sound of crashing gives a comfortable feel in the heart. For the first time since she ran away from her heartache in Jabalpur, Navya felt freedom and peace again.
After an hour, they returned the ATV to the rental place. Rishabh doesn't seem to be satisfied looking for a challenge. Now he instead wants to try sandboarding, or skating on the sand.
"Come on, Mr. Mohit!" Rishabh invited him.
Navya was surprised because Mohit agreed too. Together, they went to a sandboarding board rental place, and were taught by the instructor first. Meanwhile, Navya and Aunt Sangeeta walked hand in hand on the soft sand.
"You seem happy, Navya" Aunt Sangeeta opened her mouth. "Whatever happens in Jabalpur, forget it. You already have a new life here." She continued.
Navya suspected that Aunt Sangeeta must have heard the story from her dad or Rishabh. She took a deep breath. "I'm really happy, Auntie. That's why I chose to live in Delhi." Navya answered her.
"At first, if you weren't happy here, I wanted to invite you to stay with me in Nagpur. But I'm also busy working there." Aunt Sangeeta explained her situation to Navya.
Navya smiled. She wrapped her arms around Aunt Sangeeta's waist, which was the same height as her. "Thank you, dear Aunty. But I'm really happy," said Navya in a spoiled tone. They laughed together.
"Wuuuu!! Yeeeea...!!" Rishabh shouted. He was sliding on a sandboarding board from the top of the sand dune. Navya and Aunt Sangeeta laughed and clapped loudly to encourage him after they returned from the walking.
"Go, Rishabh!" Aunt Sangeeta cheered while raising her right hand up.
Rishabh reached the bottom of the sand dune smoothly. He was jumping up and down, shouting and laughing loudly, as if to praise himself. A few seconds later, it was Mohit's turn to slide. He didn't scream like Rishabh, remained as calm as ever, and speed off as fast as he could. Navya, Rishabh, and Aunt Sangeeta cheered and clapped for him too.
"Wow....!! Cool, Mohit sir...!!" shouted Rishabh.
Mohit and Rishabh still slide back and forth repeatedly. Navya noticed that Mohit laughed a lot all day. The man seemed relaxed and free. In her heart, Navya also felt happy, apparently she wasn't the only one who enjoyed this freedom.
Towards dusk, the four of them walked along the beach, returned to the resort while enjoying the view of the sunset. It was only a few meters away from the resort, when suddenly a large soccer ball speed towards Navya's head. Navya only had little time to see the ball in front of her eyes, then...
"Ouch...!!" Navya staggered and fell sideways on the sand. Her head immediately throbbed because of the hit of the ball.
"Navya...!!" Mohit shouted loudly, then knelt beside Navya's body which was lying. "Navya! Answer me!" Mohit put his right hand behind Navya's head, so that Navya's face was raised to face him.
Slowly, Navya opened her eyes. Mohit's face was worried looking at her. "Mohit...." Navya able to speak this only.
She heard Rishabh and Aunt Sangeeta angry at the young man who kicked the ball at her earlier. But her head still feels dizzy, everything feels spinning.
"Navya! Can you wake up, honey?" Aunt Sangeeta cried out in panic and knelt beside her.
"It feels dizzy... really, Auntie..." Navya groaned in a low voice.
"Come on, I'll carry you." Mohit said and suddenly raised both of Navya's hands and wrapped them around his neck. His right hand holds her back, his left hand holds the back of her knee. Then with one lift, Mohit carried Navya into his arms.
Navya was shocked half to death, her heart suddenly beat wildly. Mohit carried her so firmly, as if there was no difficulty at all.
"Mohit..., don't..." Navya was still trying to refuse.
"Hold on, Navya. Let's go back to the room, okay," said Mohit softly. Then he started walking.
Navya closed her eyes because her head was still spinning. Her hands were wrapped around Mohit's neck. She could hear the voice of Rishabh and Aunt Sangeeta nearby, as well as the voice of the people they passed, seemingly curious with what happened.
However, what Navya really felt was Mohit's body being so warmly hugging her. She could even hear his heartbeat, as his footsteps led him to their room.
She opened her eyes slowly, looking at Mohit's handsome face that looked worried, so close to her face. Navya closed her eyes again, unconsciously she smiled.
Mohit lay down Navya carefully, climbed onto the bed in their room. Aunt Sangeeta who followed closely sat on the edge of the bed, stroking Navya's hair.
"Shall I call a doctor, Navya?" asked Aunt Sangeeta.
Navya shook her head slowly. "You don't have to, Auntie... When you will be asleep, the headache will be gone in a minute." Navya said to her.
"Okay if you still have a headache, just drink this, Navya. It's a painkiller." Mohit said and crouched down beside the bed, held out a tablet in his left hand, and put the glass of water on the bedside table.
Navya remembered, Mohit is a pharmacist. Of course Mohit knows better about medicine.
Navya nodded, trying to get up. Mohit immediately embraced her, helping her to sit up. Navya took the medicine given by Mohit. Then she lay back down.
"Well, now you just sleep first," said Aunt Sangeeta said and returned to her room.
Navya closed her eyes, hoping her head would stop throbbing soon. Navya didn't realise how long she had been asleep. When she woke up, she felt her head was no longer dizzy. There is a cold compress against her forehead. When she touched her forehead, Navya felt a small lump, but it had deflated a bit.
She looked around the room. It turned out that Mohit was sitting in a lounge chair near the window, apparently reading a magazine.
"Navya? Are you feeling better?" Mohit immediately asked when he saw Navya trying to sit down.
Navya was stunned. "So, Mohit was waiting for me in the room? Did Mohit also compress my forehead?" Navya thought in her mind.
"I'm alright Mohit... I'm not dizzy anymore" Navya said to Mohit.
"Thank God. Do you want to join us for dinner at the restaurant, or do you want dinner to be brought here?" Mohit offered Navya. He was already standing by the bed looking at Navya.
Navya didn't want to be a bother on him. After all, her head was not dizzy anymore. So she decided to go out for dinner.
Finally, Navya and Mohit came out of the room, walking towards the restaurant which is located in the backyard of the resort with a view overlooking the sea. Aunt Sangeeta and Rishabh were waiting for them at the table.
"Yess...! Finally Navya recovered too," welcomed Rishabh as he saw them both.
"Definitely Rishabh. She already treated by Mohit earlier," Auntie Sangeeta responded to Rishabh.
"Fortunately, I have a smart husband who knows medicine." Navya said to aunt Sangeeta.
Navya's face felt warm. So as not to have to look at Mohit, she turned her gaze to the dining table. Looks like Aunt Sangeeta and Rishabh have ordered a lot of food.
"Wow, this is a party! There's a lot of food," commented Navya.
"Yup! It's rare that we get to have a vacation together like this, it must be celebrated," said Rishabh. "Come on eat, Navya! Don't worry about diet tonight!" Rishabh joked to Navya.
The four of them laughed together, then began to enjoy the dishes on the table.
It was eleven o'clock at night, then Navya entered the room. Mohit was still chatting with Rishabh outside the room. It seemed that Mohit had deliberately invited Rishabh for chat to give Navya a chance to take shower, change clothes, and sleep first.
After bathing and changing clothes, Navya's attention turned towards the sofa where Mohit would sleep tonight. There was nothing on the sofa. Navya took a pillow from the bed, and removed one layer of the outer blanket. It just so happened that the bed had two layers of blankets. She put the pillow and blanket on the sofa.
Then she quickly climbed into the bed, lay down, waiting for Mohit to enter inside the room. For some reason her heart was beating fast. Five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes... Mohit hasn't come back yet. Navya was getting sleepy.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of the bedroom door opening. She closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep. Mohit walked into the room, then turned off some of the main lights, leaving only the lights near the bathroom. Maybe so that Navya can sleep well.
Navya heard the sound of water, Mohit is taking shower in the bathroom. A few minutes later, Mohit came out of the bathroom. "The smell of the bath soap again...!" Navya said in her mind and smiled. It looks like the smell of Mohit's soap will become one of Navya's favourite.
Navya peeked with half-closed eyes. Mohit stands up in front of the sofa, seems to have just realised there are pillows and blankets that Navya put there. The man turned towards the bed.
Navya quickly closed her eyes again. Hopefully Mohit doesn't realise that she hasn't slept yet!
A few seconds later, Navya heard a grunt from the sofa. She opened her eyes slightly, peeking again. Mohit was already lying on the sofa with a blanket on. Unable to hold it in, Navya smiled, then she fell into a deep sleep.
