章 30: Revealed
Raihan sighed, and Skylar knew that his father was holding back the anger that had bubbled up since seeing the book. He didn't know what was going on in Raihan's mind until his father wanted to go straight to Renjana, which in fact would only be a waste to meet Renjana at home this morning.
"Daddy, what's wrong?" Skylar never gets tired of asking questions.
Ryan turned to him. "When you split up did Skylar ever see Neil again?"
Skylar frowned at the sudden stray question, but he still answered quickly. "Never, Father."
"That's where the fault lies. Renjana used Neil for her pleasure. Dad thought Neil had come to see Skylar."
Skylar shook her head quickly. "No Dad, mom forbid. It's not like Dad also made a promise so I wouldn't meet Neil and Dad told me when I was in middle school to go to boarding school."
"Father never said and made a promise. Your mother said that?"
"Yes, Mother said," said Skylar.
"Skylar stays here."
Raihan rose to his feet, Skylar no longer blocking his father from leaving now. He is disillusioned with the lies his mother made exposed and who is the real bad guy.

Skylar returns to Neil's room to open the book Mirror And Blood which he had found earlier. Neil flipped through the pages noticing so many scribbles on the edges of the book.
Skylar still doesn't understand what's wrong with the pictures. While Skylar knew that Neil wasn't the type of person to scribble on a book with something unclear, he always took good care of it. However, this time why?
Skylar looked back at the picture of the house without windows and the door again, where Neil drew it with emphasis until the colored markers went through the backyard. On the following pages, there is a large hand drawing that is drawn on a full page so that it covers almost all the writing that is there.
One question Skylar, What does that mean?
Skylar reads one of the random pages in the first chapter.
"...I assumed George, that there is life behind the mirror that often we see every day. The beautiful reflections that are created are just shadows or are it a world in a different dimension? Then George laughed and thought I was just I was mad at him for a few hours until he came back to coax me and apologize. Then I told him that I didn't see my reflection at night. But he came back half laughing, that it was a lie and couldn't happen. I couldn't accept it, so I dragged him up the stairs to my room and showed him. Then he was so shocked that he lost consciousness. This time it was me who laughed."

Raihan came home in the late afternoon, his face was wrinkled with anger bubbling out of his body. Skylar came over with his father a cup of tea, which he greeted with a faint smile.
Skylar doesn't start asking about what happened to Raihan's meeting with Renjana. If Raihan wanted to say it, then he would have done it by now.
The sound of his father's cell phone ringing startled them both from the uncomfortable silence that was created.
Raihan smiled happily after seeing the name displayed there. Skylar frowned in curiosity.
"Neil," his father whispered happily.
Raihan raised his voice so Skylar could also hear what Neil was saying on the other end. Neil drew closer to his father.
Skylar waited anxiously, her heart already pounding wildly waiting for Neil to speak.
"Father?" Their smiles faded when they heard Neil's voice sound hoarse and not okay. Worry ran through Neil's body when he heard it, bringing an uncomfortable feeling around the father and son.
"Neil, are you okay there? What happened?" Raihan finally started asking a barrage of questions at Neil. They were very worried about Neil. There was silence long enough for Neil to speak again.
"Father?" Neil called again making an uncomfortable tingle run through Skylar's body right then and there.
"Neil misses Daddy," Neil said on the other end very quietly like a whisper that seemed unnatural. Why is Neil suddenly saying this?
'Me too,' Neil continued to himself
"Neil, what happened?" Raihan asked anxiously occasionally glancing at Skylar, with his eyebrows raised. However, Skylar shook his head because he didn't know about it either.
They heard a moan from the other end and a hissing sound from Neil's lips which looked like he was in pain. Skylar felt like coming through the mirror and seeing Neil's condition. Neil said looking difficult with his sentence. "Neil is fine, just wanted to talk to Dad."
"What hurts Neil?" Neil was silent, they waited again, trying to be as calm as possible so that Neil also didn't feel the panic of Raihan and Skylar here.
"Dad what does a toy do?" Skylar's brows furrowed at Neil's sudden change of topic. Then he looked at Raihan who was silently watching the cellphone in his hand.
"What do you mean? A toy?" Raihan asked back with his eyes moving restlessly.
"Someone said Neil was a toy. He said Riksa fucked Neil many times, but Neil doesn't remember. He also killed the people who raped Neil. Should we thank Riksa, Dad?"
Neil gripped his hand tightly, hearing Neil speak seemed sad and full of pain in every sentence. He wanted to go there and beat up Sain, Skylar had put his trust in Sain but Sain wasted it.
"What are you saying, Neil?" Raihan asked again impatiently. However, Skylar knew what Raihan was hiding by gritting his teeth.
"Dad, Skylar here gives Neil alcohol. So Neil drinks it. It tastes bitter."
"Dad, Neil sure you must be very ashamed to have a son like Neil. So Neil doesn't want to go home. Dad, you can forget about Neil from now on." Skylar felt his eyes burn, he couldn't stand hearing Neil say so desperately.
Insolent Sain!
"You're drunk Neil, don't talk nonsense!" Raihan shouted blaming Skylar for gasping.
"Dad, even if Neil comes home. Daddy's house must be dirty." They heard Neil laughing ironically.
"Dad, can Neil cry? One last time?"
They were both silent, Raihan had stood up and was about to put his cell phone on the table and died until Neil's voice echoed in their ears again.
"Father, can Neil die?"
With just that, the Skylar world felt like it was falling apart, shattered into pieces. Skylar couldn't stand it, he ran leaving Raihan downstairs to Neil's room upstairs.
Skylar locked the door and plopped down on the bed. He rubbed his face a few times and wished this was just a dream. Why is Neil's life so hard for him to live?
